Cartoons from the far past have always had episodes thirty minutes, some are able to run two episodes in a half an hour slot, as if the two episodes are combined. But as of late cartoons on several networks have trimmed time and scheduling. Now just about every episode of every show is only fifteen minutes long, and when looking at them on schedules it shows how compact they are made back to back so thin you can't read the show title. Like they condense it and pile episodes in to make it look like a lot will be airing that day when really it's all just the same show running in its usual half hour slot but separated.
My question is what will Gen 5 be like after the movie. Will their episodes be fifteen minutes each but have two eps back to back but separated in their own slots? I mean Pony Life is doing that even though some episodes pick up with the first one of the day leaves off, so why bother separating them into two distinct episodes if they're just continuing? So let's hope Gen 5's series will be half an hour and not two fifteen minute episodes crunched together in a half an hour slot separately.
Since Netflix was the one who greenlit Gen 5 show, I imagine the runtime for each episodes will be around 23 or 24 minutes since majority of Netflix cartoon shows run around 24 or 25 minutes each episodes.
Just giving my guess.

What happened to Twilight Sparkle and her friends in this generation?
