    Happy St. Patrick's Day🍀☘️

Currently doing a bar crawl in Downtown (ok so we started in Corktown and are making our way through any good AVAILABLE bar today) with some friends and a couple of co-workers of mine, who we unintentionally ran into. Turns out great minds think alike! Ironically I'm the "Uber Call Girl" tonight so...unfortunately can't get TOO wasted (plus I actually have work tomorrow...couldn't call off).

People....it's been about a year... · 1:37am Mar 12th, 2021

The nation had to shut down.
Schools were in the process of switching to online.
We all had to stay at home/limit how often we left the house for supplies.
Toilet paper became the stock pile obsession.
Zoom became our best used tool.
Streaming services became members of the family at that point.
Protests....
Election stress...
Mental health/self-care increase...
Death.....

It's been 12 months of Hell....yet for the most part...we survived.
I don't know why....but we survived...and continue to survive.

It's not been a fun year at all......

I've struggled hard these last 12 months....

I've even contemplated suicide once or twice....

Yet somehow I'm still here...

I lost many people in my life last year alone....yet I could only mourn them briefly before the next terror occurred....

How?

How are we still going?

Too dumb to know when to quit.

Edit: Terry Pratchet said it best. The world is two meals and twenty- four hours away from anarchy.

That's a good enough answer.
