Writing Update · 2:38pm Mar 9th, 2021
Alright, so I didn't blog at all during February, which is kind of funny considering that was my most productive month when it comes to writing. I thought I should just drop a short update to let everyone (everyone that cares) know about what I'm working on
So for Book of AppleDash, I just uploaded a new chapter of it today, so go check it out. I don't know exactly how long Book of AppleDash will be, but I do know one thing: I don't want to meander. I'm not going to continue the story just because I want a long word count or because I want to keep writing my preferred ships. I want to try to avoid delving into the Slice of Life aspect of the story too much to make sure the pacing doesn't slow to a crawl. I want to start updating it more frequently, but I can't make that a promise. I'm a terrible procrastinator, and I usually put it all off before writing a couple of words one day, and then binge writing the other 2,000 words the next day.
So now with the story Equestrian Thrones. Oof, there's a blast from the past. I canceled Equestrian Thrones, and I honestly don't think it's coming back. So if anyone here is looking out for another chapter of this thing (for some reason), don't get your hopes up. I'll never return to unless 1) By some miracle I want to write it again, or 2) If I have no current projects I'm working on.
Silver Metal is still a story I want to continue at some time or another, so that's still on hiatus. I know not many people are still interested in it, but it's still something I wish to pursue.
So now new projects. Besides new chapters of Book of AppleDash, I'm working on two one-shots. One is a romantic slice of life story between a colt and filly, while another one is a comedy starring Rarity in a fan-favorite gimmick. When those will come out, I'm not entirely sure, but expect them to release sometime in the future. I also have an idea for another long fic, but I want to wait until Book of AppleDash gets a couple more chapters before really starting to pursue it. My writing really isn't that great, so I'm trying really hard to get better at it. I'd appreciate any constructive criticisms you have of my work. I look for those every time I upload a new chapter, and I'm starting to think readers are going soft on me. I kid, I kid.
Also, if it interests you, I created the Story Idea Depot, a group for writers to give up dead story ideas to others for free. If you are at all interested in that, then go check it out.
So that's kind of it for all. I don't really know how to end this blog so... bye.
