Wow. There's people being sensitive, then there is...this. Safe to say that being a writer isn't easy.
I took the story as a bit of fluff, with perhaps a bit of a lampoon of some of the sillier aspects of fannish behavior. I wouldn't claim to have any chops in literary criticism, so I won't insist on that interpretation. I'll just say that I enjoyed it, for what that's worth.
At the end of the day, though, you just consider the critiques, determine their accuracy and relevance, then act accordingly. Sometimes you miss, sometimes you hit off-center... And sometimes you just have to acknowledge that it's like the man said: "Some people would complain about being hanged with a golden rope..."
Don't let it get you down.

I’m okay with legitimate critique, or just a simple “this story wasn’t my cup of tea”, but I keep writing these absurd premises (ie, Rarity sues you for not cuddling her) and people write comments at me like I’m encouraging sexual harassment or something :(

I relate, man. I write stories that are technically "teen" and tagged as "fetish", but I'm asexual and I'm not trying to be creepy about it, it's just meant to be cute.
I'm really happy SOMEONE thinks the same way, because the particular niche that I write about (tickling) is almost exclusively disgusting, non-consensual creep material. It's why I created this account in the first place, to write some stories that were... actually morally sound and loving and sweet.
