    50 Questions

Last year, around October, Ice Star posted this fun questionnaire and I ask whether I could do it too. The answer was yes but the thing is, I was busy and completely forgot about doing it. Now, as I'm sick in bed, I have time and I can answer (I don't know if that's clear). So, stick with me (if you want to) and let's go!

    It wasn't plan like that

But I happen to be writing a mini thesis about the Brony fandom for one of my College classes about subcultures. Life is amazing!

Why I certainly will be obliged to cancel The Last Flower (and it's breaking my heart)

I know, I know, the story's been on hiatus for at least a year now. But still, I really wanted to keep on writing it and bringing you the rest of the story, once College will leave me enough time to write something on a regular basis. I have really enjoyed creating this post-apocalyptic AU which contained a lot of theme which were dear to me and which, unfortunately, hasn't even been tackled

    Dashie's playlist N°1

Yeah, I know this isn't a story but... I wanted to share with you the playlist of songs I've made which for me fits with Rainbow Dash as I made her in The Truth About Girls. Also, I used to play many of those songs when I was writing this fiction and A Story of Love (Among Others). Hope you'll enjoy, and don't forget to tell me what's your opinion. Thank you

50 Questions · 10:13pm Mar 2nd, 2021

Last year, around October, Ice Star posted this fun questionnaire and I ask whether I could do it too. The answer was yes but the thing is, I was busy and completely forgot about doing it. Now, as I'm sick in bed, I have time and I can answer (I don't know if that's clear). So, stick with me (if you want to) and let's go!

1. What is your first name?
Marie. Which I can say freely because it must be the less original name ever!

2. How old are you?
More than 25 and less than 40.

3. What country are you from?
I'm from France, the South East although I lived in Paris for two years. If I could have the money, I would gladly return there...

4. What do you look like?
Small. I'm small. And I don't look my age. My friends and I have a theory: if I walk into a High School, I would probably be asked to hurry up and go to class.

5. What do you wish you looked like?
Taller, curvier, a redhead... In short, Christina Hendricks in Mad Men.

6. How did you come across MLP:FIM?
I saw episodes on a TV channel for children when my niece was younger and thought "hey, it's quite fun, actually!" Then, I forgot about it. And one summer, as I was bored and didn't know what to watch, I started MLP. And was quickly hooked.

7. What is your favorite ship?
Well, SoarinDash, of course. I think everybody knows now. I'm also into RariJack.

8. What is your least favorite ship?
Well, FlutterDash and AppleDash. But inherently, no ships are bad. People are free to ship whoever they want.

9.Have you told anyone outside the fandom that you like MLP?
Everybody knows. No one really minds.

10. Were they a family member?
Yeah. They weren't really surprised since I used to love mangas and very "kawaii" things. So it was more or less a continuation of that for them. The only thing is that now, they tend to think I'm into unicorns when I'm not really. I just love MLP.

11. Favorite MLP episode?
A Dog and a Pony Show. Partly because it was one of the episodes which got me interested in the show (one of those I saw on TV) but also because it always makes me laugh. And it shows that being resourceful can help you get through things as much as being tough and "badass".

12. Who is your favorite superhero?
I don't read comics and I don't enjoy superhero movies.

13. Favorite Anti-hero?
That would be Don Draper from Mad Men. Truth be told, everything from Mad Men is amazing.

14. Favorite supervillain?
Since I don't watch superhero movies, I'm going to concentrate on the "villain" part of the question. I'm really into Hitchcock movies so, I would say that it would be Bruno Anthony from the movie "Strangers on the Train". He's the quintessence of the Hitchcock villain: a smooth-talker, very elegant and "attractive" which makes him all the more dangerous.

15. Favorite anti-villain?
Well, probably the same answer than for the question above.

16. What was the last book you read?
It was Jessica Jung's "Shine". I didn't plan to read it now but I was sick in bed and it was the closest book within my reach so I finished it. I wasn't extraordinary but it was easy to read and it spilled tea about the kpop world which was what I was looking for first and foremost :pinkiehappy:

17. What is the last movie you watched?
Anatole Litvak's Sorry, Wrong Number with Barbara Stanwyck and Burt Lancaster. It was interesting. While not the best movie I ever saw, the end marked me because I have rarely seen old movies (outside silent ones and Pre-Code) with an end as dark and pessimistic as this.

18. Favorite song at the moment?
The song was released months ago but I'm obsessed with Chung Ha's Dream of You lately.

19. What song do you always come back to?
I don't really know. I really wanted to give a title but I can't think of anything right now. But I always come back to Clueless... Does that count?

20. What is your current job?
I'm an adult who went back to University. I'm on my first year of Master's Degree in English.

21. What job do you want in the future?
I'm trying to become a translator in literature. I love reading, writing and translating so that would be perfect. Also, the fact that I wouldn't be told that I'm too slow or too shy.

22. Dream job?
Professional author. Or movie director but that would be more difficult because I never held a camera of my life :twilightsheepish:

23. At this moment what is your greatest achievement?
Finally doing this questionnaire.

24. At this moment what is your greatest failure?
The fact that I can't write more than a few paragraphs a day, especially as I keep on saying, everything morning, that I'm going to write, like, a lot.

25. Do you have any pets?
I'm not too sure... (My cat disappeared three weeks ago)

26. What is your dream pet?
A Cavalier King Charles.

27. Do you own any weapons?
No, why would I?

28. Is there a gun you really want?
Nope.

29. What religion are you?
I usually say that I'm agnostic.

30. If you could hang out with one person in history, who would it be?
Marilyn Monroe. It might sound cliché but I'm really touched by her fragility.

31. If you could bring one person back from the dead, who would it be?
Ice Star said Teddy Rooseveldt and well... I can't think of anyone better. So, I'll just answer the same thing.

32. Are you political?
Very much but in private. I don't really like talking politics on the internet (although I sometimes do).

33. Are you married?
Nah! And I don't consider it as being a problem.

34. Do you have a boyfriend?
I don't have a boyfriend neither. Reason? The only boys I met are way too young and I'm Ace.

35. Have a crush on anyone?
No, because obviously, boys I meet are still way too young.

36. Care to explain?
I already did.

37. Do you consider yourself attractive?
I don't know. I think the best that could said about me physically is "cute" surely because I don't look my age.

38. If you could spend a day with someone alive who would it be?
My best friends who I haven't seen for a year because of COVID-19.

39. Who is your favorite pony?
Rainbow Dash (she's full of flaws and so, seems more realistic, all while staying incredibly endearing, with layers and depth) and Pinkie Pie (what can I say? She's irresisitible. And there's not an inch of pettiness in her. She's the element of Laughter but also is full of Kindness and Generosity).

40. Any embarrassing secrets you'd like to share?
Nope. I'm going to keep my embarrassing secrets to myself. Yeah, I know, I'm no fun.

41. If you have done any stories/art, what is your favorite piece?

Only One Speck of Dust
Bound to You
The Truth About Girls (vol. 1)
The Truth About Girls (vol. 2)
The Truth About Girls (vol. 3)
It's a Wonderful Life

42. Are you a virgin?
What do you think?

43. What is the craziest thing you have done in your life?
Going to South Korea on my own. Auditioning for the French version of American Idol (and failed).

44. Favorite TV show besides MLP?
Well, I think it's clear now that I really ADORED Mad Men. I'm also very fond of Parks & Recreation. I could rewatch Cold Case again and again and again. There's also Mentalist, The Nanny and Columbo. Yeah, this isn't very new, I know.

45. Do you have a fetish of any kind?
No.

46. Do you regret saying this fetish?
Still no.

47. What are some of your favorite MLP stories?
Storm from Afar by CROWNE PRINCE.

48. Favorite quote?
The one in my bio.

"We didn't need dialogues, we had faces" - Gloria Swanson in Sunset Boulevard.

"Nothing's funnier than unhappiness" - Samuel Beckett.

49. Did you ever hurt someone's feelings just to hurt them?
I surely did because I'm not perfect. I'm just a human being and human beings tend to do bad choices at times.

50. Did you answer all these questions honestly?
I think I did.
