Merry Christmas | It's been awhile

I just wanted to post this to let everyone know, that I hope you all had a Merry Christmas. I apologize for dissapearing, it's just that... Man, I don't feel the same attachment I had to MLP as a whole as before. I guess I moved on since the series ended with Gen 4. (Gen 5 is going on, but I haven't been interested into the newer series. Sorry about that.)

    To Champagne Supernova

Hey, I dunno if you're ready talk with me, and I understand if you're not ready yet, but I need a shoulder to lean on, if that's okay.

Just my attempt at trying to make amends.

When the time comes to fully heal?

No gonna lie, I'm still not moving on from one friendship ruined. I'm not really on the border of losing my head, or my mental health taking a nosedive, but this just now feels like something that needs to be filled in.

Other than that, hurrah for London climate in Mexico. Cloudy sky, light rains, chill air... Nothing harmful happening.

25th Years of Pokémon · 2:30am Feb 28th, 2021

25 Years of catching, training, battling, earning badges, and stopping evil organizations. Pokémon was indeed part of my childhood, because of the anime, as I bet it happened with many who started with Pokémon. Man, how invested I was in the anime as a kid, memories from Kanto, the Orange Islands, and Johto. The thing is, I think when I first watched it, it was around the Johto Saga, the early episode to be exact.

Favorite memory? Orange Islands may be filler, but Ash defeating Drake to win the Orange League. Another memory has to be the very first movie involving Mewtwo, and why not? The third one that featured Entei. But are there memories of the games? My earliest one has to be playing Pokémon Gold, borrowed from my cousin. At first, I thought it was based on the anime, but no. Different continuity, as I learned down the line much later.

From the early teens to today, I've been getting more into the games. The favorites to me so far are Pokémon Crystal was a pretty nice definite edition for Gold and Silver, and I want to try again the remakes HeartGold and SoulSilver. Black and White was also pretty fun, getting into Unova, and I should not forget, Colosseum for the GameCube. Those are probably the ones that I had a lot of fun.

And screw it, sharing this, because why not? Nostalgia points!

By the way, the virtual concert of Post Malone that was done today? Amazing, I must admit.

Anyways... I didn't forgot what happened yesterday.

Honey crud, an open world Pokémon game, with Arceus as the focus. Apparenly it's going to be that kind of spin off games that plays like the mainline games, just like Colosseum and Gale of Darkness. That's nice, and I want to see more info into the game, so I can get hooked. Also, please, no permanent EXP Share at the very start. One thing for sure, the selection of starters consist of guys that are my favorites, Cyndaquill, Oshawott, and Rowlet.

No gonna lie, it's looking pretty darn good. New Pokémon Snap looks pretty slick, and I think this trailer already convinced me that it should be part of my list of games for the Switch. I have the feeling this will become as popular as Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Let's see and wait. So far, a thumbs up from me!

Oh, boy, everyone was calling for this. Everyone wanted for this. I expected it to drop some day, and finally, it's here. Brillant Diamond and Shining Pearl, remakes of Diamond and Pear from Gen IV. Digging the look of the game, though kind of wish the graphics were more polished, like Link's Awakening for the Switch. Still, nice that we are having remakes, and I hope they have the content from Platinum too. Also, please no permanent EXP Share at the start.

Today was the first time that Pokémon released, back in Japan with the Red and Green Versions for the Game Boy in 1996. 25 Years already, making another Anniversary worth to celebrate. It should be a good time to be a fan of Zelda and Pokémon to celebrate their respective Anniversaries. The thing is, Pokémon has to be along with Mario and Zelda as the Nintendo series that have a crud ton of mainstream recognition.

Games, anime, movies, manga, card games, spin off titles, the merch which also included in Mexico the Tazos that came from the Frito Lay Mexican branch known as Sabritas... Quite a lot from Pokémon, huh? Really, this series is in a direction that indicates they won't fall down. I really hope so, because I still remember that The Pokémon Company caught backlash last year due to Pokémon Unite.

However, we shouldn't be thinking about the negatives. We should think about the positives of the Pokémon series. I hope they continue on delivering good games, and making even more new memories. Here? Pokémon fan until the very end. And with that, I end this blog post.

And Gotta Catch 'Em All!
