Sweet Secrets is now my lowest rated story, and while normally I don't think too hard about a story's rating -- after all, Hot Harvest, The Resurrectionists, and Toola Roola Paints a Picture are also down near the bottom and I think those are great. Sometimes you do something pretty good and most people don't get it, and that's okay.
But in this case... especially with a very persuasive review in the comments, I'm think the story might actually be bad. Honestly I'm thinking back on what's in it and I think I fucked up.
This is what I get for trying to force a story while recovering from a broken leg.
There aren't a lot of things I won't write about... but I have to say I cannot abide having written a bad story. I'm waiting for the contest voting (contests are my bane in so many ways) to see if it wins anything, but if it doesn't I think I'm going to take it down in March.
I'm warning you so you can make copies if you want.
You sure it isn't just because lots of people got beef with you for some reason and want to grief you hard as they can? Because the quality angle just doesn't work because your story's far too good for that to be the reason you got so many downvotes. And I would know. I'm Todd Howard. KING of quality games that are NEVER not 100 PERCENT perfect. Except for 76. But we don't talk about that.

Listen Todd, great theory. But this is bigger than you or me. Have you played Caves of Qud? What I need you to do is get a dump truck, a big one, and fill it so full of bundles of C-notes that bills flap free and drift around while it drives down the highway. I need you to drive it, personally, to Brian Bucklew's house. Be careful not to run over any of his chickens when you get there. Get out, knock on his door. Hand him a note that says "Caves of Qud II".

Sorry, but me and my company stopped caring about small fry devs and their obscure as fuck steam exclusive games only moderately okay youtubers play YEARS ago. In case you haven't noticed, we're kind of too big and successful to cater to that crowd or try to expand that crowd from that game. Fallout 76 would make more money than if we bankrolled Caves of Cud II. FALLOUT. 7.6.!
And my original point still stands. You'd be surprised how people hold grudges and routinely downvote stuff from a particular maker just because they're from that particular maker. I should know. I've been that man a few more times than I care to admit.

If you go back and read my comment carefully, you'll see that I never suggested you would make money. No, I explicitly asked you to bankroll a full 3D AAA version of my favorite traditional roguelike for my own personal jollification. Ain't nobody making money off that, Mr. Fake Bethesda Guy.
Anyway, after a rare moment of sober reflection, I realized the story had watersports in it, which probably explains the low rating. Tho the idea that I have a personal hatedom is very flattering. I can be pretty fucking obnoxious.
