While the overall premise is somewhat solid, I’m surprised not many people are talking about all the Mane 6 references scattered throughout the photo above. Posters, her saddlebags, her button pins, even the little Mane 6 figurines sitting on the nightstand.
Could this pony be a Mane 6 fangirl? Probably.
Either way, I hope these little background details actually serve something plot-wise, instead of being “callbacks for the sake of callbacks”.
Let's wait for the finished product. As for me...I think this could be great. It only feels like yesterday that the notion of teens and adults would watch a show about ponies aimed at little girls felt absurd.

Wow, I am already seeing the G4 references all over the place.
This is definitely a fangirl. Or maybe they're there to confirm the canonicity to G4, and also show just how much of a big impact the Mane 6 really were.
Either way, I am content with the inclusion of this. Mainly because it would be nice if there were some G4 character mention and reference, instead of just having new characters be in the same world, and only being confirmed canon by creators. Some ties, mentions, and impact just seem right, but that's just my opinion.
Also, the modern-looking bedroom makes so much sense since this is in the far future of Equestria.

The design wise is is not too bad actually but I'm still kind of worried about the final product how the characters the storyline is still worried but it's okay and it looks like I see Rainbow Dash's cutie mark and I see the Mane 6 toys so that means are they connected or what I guess we'll find out

Not so sure what to think about these character names either. I mean, “Sunny” is believable, if not a bit simple and basic for a pony, but “Izzy”?
I dunno, I’m just still hung up on all the unique and complex names that MLP has had for their characters, especially G4.

Rarity had her soul sliced up into many pieces to put into an equivalent of the fallout bobbleheads, each one representing a member of the Mane Six. There were only so many sets made, I forget the actual number. Lil Pip collects a set over the course of the story.

So, does this mean that the series takes place long after Twilight, Spike, and the rest of the Mane 6 have passed away? If so, who is ruling Equestria at that time? A bunch of racist aristocrats?
Also, whatever happened to Luster Dawn and Young 6? Did they pass away as well or have they been forced to go into exile by the new government?

These characters aren't living in any known Equestria places either, so the creators are being serious when saying that they're exploring Equestria more.
I do also wonder if all of G5 takes place in an entirely new region, or if some of the events will occur in places that we all know. Will these rogue rulers be in Canterlot, or somewhere different?
There's definitely a good chance they'll end up somewhere we remember. Question is, will some of the more well-known structures still stand, such as the school? Or will at least half of those be torn down?
We'll have to wait and see. I'm going to watch this movie, but one of the reasons is to look for G4 ties.

Looking at this, I'm giving it a 50/50 chance on that happening. I'm hoping it happens at some point, whether it's the movie or show.
And if that doesn't happen, I'm hoping for at least a mention of something that was in G4, whether it's a location, or a character, or an event. I'll probably be disappointed if that doesn't happen, but at least I can go on knowing the creators confirmed it's canon.
Again... that's just my opinion.

I was talking about this last night a little bit on someone else's blog, but I'll say it again here plus a little extra.
That face is terrifying, looks like they slapped Elsa's face on a horse. And that plot is a really big yikes from me, especially coming from Netflix. If they don't do it right, it'll end up looking like a bad fanfiction. But I can hold out some hope, people have done similar ideas on this site before and have done really good jobs with it, but with Netflix in charge I'm scared of them trying to push and squeeze unnecessary agendas into it.
I read the summary and it reminds me of the story about how Hearth's Warming Eve started and Equestria was founded. I guess G5 will have to learn things that G4 have already learned.
Anyone else getting a Barbie vibe from the CG-I?
