    I will return to G5

    Hey, guys. Mr. J here.

Just so you're aware, I am planning to return to MLP G5: both watching Tell Your Tale and Make Your Mark. Now, I don't remember if I ever told you all about this, but I did inform some of y'all that I've given up hope for G5 because the episodes I watched around that time (two years ago) were so forgettable and boring.

Greetings, folks! Here is my review of 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy! I had very low expectations before I watched this online recently. Even though I enjoyed their overall presence and performance in Infinity War and Endgame, I didn’t think I would actually like their own movies. However, the very moment I watched the first few seconds thereof, I was starting to get so emotional watching Peter Quill as a child watching his own mother dying on her death bed in a hospital from a tumor. It broke my heart seeing him that traumatized and hurt by her death with his father being there with him (which will play a massive role later on in the series). After having watched the prologue, I just KNEW that this film would surprise me in a good way. I really enjoyed watching Chris Pratt in this.

Words cannot express how many times I enjoyed watching the guardians coming together and interacting with each other. My personal favorite out of the five is Rocket. That raccoon has got to be one of the most nonchalantly hilarious MCU characters I’ve ever seen in a film. I didn’t think highly of him in Infinity War and Endgame, but this movie and the second volume made me love him so much. Great work, Bradley Cooper, great voice work. 👍🏼

The CGI in this was awesome, and the cinematography was absolutely spot-on. James Gunn did a fantastic job directing the animators and the executive producers to make this movie really enjoyable and really satisfying. Every single scene and frame was great to look at and had stunning visuals as well.

Drax was awesome too. I like his impulsive yet strong personality in this; they even bothered to make him a relatable character with vengeful feelings and an unwillingness to back down from a fight. He had a great design as well as great character development with Rocket and the others. Splendid acting, Dave Bautista!

Man, Groot can be quite a unique character, huh? His “I am Groot” language is not only funny but also a little adorable. I also view his and Rocket’s relationship as a sibling type—older brother and younger brother. Even though the raccoon may appear to be rough with him, deep down he actually cares about him like a loved one or family. Vin Diesel gets payed for saying “I am Groot!” a lot, huh? 😂

Gamora and Nebula were really good in this. I’m leaning more towards the former for her great character development and... romantic?... relationship with Star-Lord. The emotions she carried were top-notch and were executed well. She is likewise one of my favorite characters in this series.

As for the main villain himself, Ronan was actually... fairly decent. I honestly thought he was going to suck so hard as a villain, but he surprisingly didn’t disappoint me. Although I still wish he had more vibrant personality and a clear background from where he is coming from, he was nonetheless very intimidating and intriguing. Thus, I consider him to be decent.

The acting was great, the comedy was awesome, and the story was terrific. Therefore, I rate this movie a 10/10! I won’t talk about Yondu yet because the sequel made him so phenomenal and complete that I just can’t spill everything about him yet. Please stay tuned for my review of that tomorrow.

Peace out!

This was an amazing movie. The only thing that I liked more was the memes that spawned from the intro with Starlord dancing.
