Merry Christmas | It's been awhile

I just wanted to post this to let everyone know, that I hope you all had a Merry Christmas. I apologize for dissapearing, it's just that... Man, I don't feel the same attachment I had to MLP as a whole as before. I guess I moved on since the series ended with Gen 4. (Gen 5 is going on, but I haven't been interested into the newer series. Sorry about that.)

    To Champagne Supernova

Hey, I dunno if you're ready talk with me, and I understand if you're not ready yet, but I need a shoulder to lean on, if that's okay.

Just my attempt at trying to make amends.

When the time comes to fully heal?

No gonna lie, I'm still not moving on from one friendship ruined. I'm not really on the border of losing my head, or my mental health taking a nosedive, but this just now feels like something that needs to be filled in.

Other than that, hurrah for London climate in Mexico. Cloudy sky, light rains, chill air... Nothing harmful happening.

A Nintendo Direct was held today · 3:38am Feb 18th, 2021

And there's a lot to talk about. I will make things shorter, however. From the new character revealed for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the newest third party games that'll come, the first steps of Zelda's 35th Anniversary, and the surprise that was the reveal of Splatoon 3. I wouldn't call it hype, just an pretty alright presentation that was worth the time.

Pyra and Mythra join Smash Ultimate, and not going to main the two. I will indeed download them, however. It's just, well, I don't know. Probably makes more sense than Steve? Hey, at least lewd jokes, nor the tsundere nature of Mythra won't be involved. Just radness by the look of things, and that's how I want things from Xenoblade.

New stuff from Square Enix such as Legend of Mana, SaGa Frontier, and this new Project Triangle Strategy. I like the news that the first two are going to be a thing, though in the case of Legend of Mana, I prefer more they would have gone for a full remake like Trials of Mana.

I've been wanting to get into the SaGa series, so the addition of Frontier into the Switch is a welcome addition. So, Romancing SaGa 2 and 3 are present on the Switch, along with Scarlet Grace. That's pretty cool, and I bet the next one to introduce will be SaGa Frontier 2.

Project Triangle Strategy... It looks so rad, no gonna lie. Sounds like the type of RPG I would get, due to the serious nature, and how risky are going to be things, because your decisions are going to matter. They will have consequences, and I would like to see more info into this game. Oh, this has to be a treat.

It's been awhile since we got a new Mario Golf game. I'm excited? Sorta. I want to see what more they're going to add to Super Rush. The first things they showed such as Speed Golf and the Story Mode are a good start to get people invested into the game. If Mario Tennis Aces was any indication, I'm sure they're going to give Super Rush the same polish as Aces.

Monster Hunter Rise is looking pretty good. Another series I've been wanting to get into, and I have played a little of World. I love the Japanese direction they're taking this game, and... What else to say? It does looks it's going to be a blast to play, even though I'm a Monster Hunter rookie. One thing for sure, if Capcom is going to do a Monster Hunter game based on the Aztec stories, then that's going to be a must play for me.

The first steps of the 35th Anniversary of The Legend of Zelda. First things off, an Expansion Pass for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. That's neat. They're going to expand more the backstory of Breath of the Wild, it seems.

Speaking of which, the sequel is still in development as noted by Eiji Aonuma, who apologized for not providing more info. Makes sense, given that the pandemic probably slowed down the production of the game, and that's fine. We can wait more. They shouldn't push themselves hard.

What did we got, however, was an HD port of Skyward Sword, and I'm conflicted. I have a Wii, but not a Switch yet, and my mind wants to stick to the original release for the Wii. I mean, it's good that they're going to bring out Skyward Sword. Introduce a new generation of people into Skyward Sword. It's just... Aye, guess I don't want to own all Zelda games that are updated releases instead of their origin.

Splatoon 3... Yikes, already getting on with a big release. Makes me wonder, however, if Splatoon 1 will be possible on the Switch. Other than that, will this be the one that officially gets me into Splatoon? I mean, I've been wanting to get in since Splatoon 1 was played by Chuggaconroy.

Well, something else to say? Aside from Ninja Gaiden Trilogy being a thing, the 16-bit Princess and Captain Wrangler from that EA Game, I say there's indeed noticiable stuff that I wouldn't focus 100%. It's each on their own. People probably are crazy about No More Heroes 3, except I'm not a fan of the games. Who I'm to take away the excitement of others?

With Skyward Sword being a thing, remember: There's no such a thing as low effort ports from Nintendo.

That is all for this blog post. Hope you enjoyed the Direct, and I already want it to be Saturday. There's going to be the Japan Fighting Game Publisher Roundtable, and I wanna see more info for Tekken 7, Soul Calibur VI, and what other annoucement they have in mind.

I will tell you this from what I learned from group posts. The HD version of Skyward Sword for the Switch will be like what they did for both Wind Waker and Twilight Princess on the Wii U (both of which I have for the Gamecube, but have Wind Waker digitally on my Wii U). The add on to Skyward Sword is that they plan to adapt the game to the controller for those who have the Switch Lite. I have the Wii version, but haven't gotten around to playing it for the life of me since it came out. I'm more used to using the standard controller than swinging it around, so I plan to get this version.

As for Legend of Mana and SaGa Frontier, I think they want to keep it close to the PS1 versions like they did for Final Fantasy 7, 8, & 9, with what remastering that they want to have worked on.

And I've been wanting for another Mario Golf game to come out. While the 3DS version was great, it's been a while since they had a story feature since the GBA version came out.
