Hello!
It's been a long few months mate, been back and forth to my Flat at Uni, and my normal home, and now Im stuck at home doing online lessons for my course. Fun.
Anyways, as the title says, just yesterday I've contracted the Corooona, because my dad's girlfriend somehow got it even though I've never seen her leave the house to go to bloody Morrisons to pick up some shopping. Anyways, the good news is, I'm asymptomatic, the bad news is, I've gotta go for another test tomorrow and I'm going to be housebound until it's over. Yeeey!
And I know I haven't updated the story, I have been thinking of plot points and a few bits and bobs here and there that would lead me to at least chapter thirty if I play my cards right and I don't fuck up god forbid. I still barely have time between University work and other shit, also Im a pretty bad procrastinator, but as soon as April is bloody over, then I'll definitely get right back into writing all the way through summer until September.
Okayy, so pushing all that aside, here are a few things I've been working on. Prepare to be amazed! Or don't :((
This will be the final version of my character, well, a shameless self-insert (Fight me ye doughnut) and Im quite happy with how this turned out. 
But this one is definitely not finished, neither is the bird either. (Has anyone ever thought Celestia looks like a swan? Heh.) 
Also, here is an environment piece I finished, I am also pretty happy with this, although I now see errors, but that's life. This will have a place in the story as a real place, think of it as a scene. Also, if you think the character is walking towards the ruined ship, he is not, I just completely fucked up the perspective because Im a nob. 
And the rest of these are concepts of objects within this story. Later down the line, Im gonna be working with 3D objects and actual steampunk-ish type stuff to really sell the world-building. (This is a one-man crew after all, plus I'm no expert author either, so it's gonna be bloody hard.)

As annoying as it sounds I will say the dreaded word 'practice'. I started off with pencil and paper, but as soon as I got a tablet and learned the regiment I improved alot within the span of two years.
All it really takes is a good goal and a bit of motivation. Think of yourself as a cliched shonen main character, jumping obstacles and making leaps and bounds until you get what you want. But! Don't stop there! Go even further! You'll always be improving and nobody has reached true perfection.
Also, I have no idea if Im a good person to take advice from, I am not Celestia. Well...I could be if I made myself look like a duck and put a crown on top of my head.
