A New Destiny Completed!?!?!?! Why?! · 1:32am Feb 8th, 2021
Hey guys, it's been a very long, long, long while since I've posted anything here on Fimfiction other than Burn The Changelings. 2020 was a really bad year for everyone, and I made a lot of promises that I never kept.
I just can't seem to write as much anymore and it's mainly because of writers block, but also having personal issues in my every day life. I've been somewhat down and lazy and overall just tired with MLP, I say I really lost my drive around 2019. I just couldn't bring myself to write a Displaced story, a funny story, or even a blog post. I haven't even done a collab for over two years now, and I mean a really cool collab like I used to do back when I first joined. A lot of my friends have left this site and those that are still here are too busy with their own stories that it feels very lonely here. And the few friends I talk with on Discord are also busy with their works that I've really lost motivation. Things just haven't been the same for MLP and that's okay, I feel like I've done pretty good here and got to write a lot of pretty cool stories.
I am most proud of A New Destiny, which I have now marked down as complete, even though the story is not over. It has about 16,000, maybe a little more, and ends on a very strange, confusing cliffhanger and a lot of you guys are wondering what happened to the rest of it. Cause before it was 18,000 and just stuck in an endless loop of me staring at the screen and trying to find the right words to put on a stupid google doc before closing my laptop and saying "Eh, I'll get to it when I come up with something....". That was THREE years ago, back when I started getting a grove for Displaced stories and it was when I really got into liking Pokemon again. However now it is finished for three reasons.
1. I just couldn't bring myself to write anything for a long time, but I've gotten my motivation back, but not sure how long it'll last, plus it doesn't help that the Show itself for MLP is over and pretty disappointing honestly. I feel like I've kinda out grown MLP, but I keep finding myself writing stories for it. All I want now it to finish my projects, and see them get Featured on Fimfic. That's all I really want now more than anything so I can put this account to rest.
2. Other projects have taken so much of my time that I've had to just wrap it up.
3. The last reason is what I'm trying to say here.... Suicune's story has been in a long loop, and constantly put on the back burner, coming back, before being put on said burner again. Over and over again, and I'm tired. I want to finish the story I started long ago, but whenever I see A New Destiny, I just can't bring myself to write it. So I looked it over, and chose a specific chapter to end it on.
A New Destiny is indeed over with all the flaws, grammar errors, and pretty much when I first started improve in writing (Doesn't mean I was amazing, but shows I was growing), but Suicune's story is not over, not even close my friends. I'll be making a brand new story for our favorite Pokemon, with more adventures, a blooming romance that I've never gotten to write, and of course New Displaced heroes and villains with my now improved writing.
I am going to be honest, this time and I truly mean this, When this new story is posted and I reach the end of that book. I'll be officially done with MLP. I want to create my own stories, with my own characters, in my worlds, with twists and turns, and just plain fun. Now I still read the stories on this site since I do read a lot of stories on here and I am always looking for more stories to read in my free time.
Now it'll take time since I am currently doing college courses, but I'll also be spending time with my girlfriend :) She means the world to me and I'll appreciate it if you guys could have patience and wait for me. I try not to break my promises and I want to finish Suicune's story, Abzan's story, and Watcher's story.
These three characters, both my OC's and my Displaced stories, have been the foundation of my time here on Fim. I've hardly worked on anything else lately and you'll probably see me posting some new story down the line as well. But once again I repeat, that once Suicune's story is finished. I'll be finished writing stories for Fimfic, things are just not the same on this site, but hey maybe Gen 5 might spark my interest in the franchise again once it comes out, but who knows?

Not entirely sure yet... if anything I'll be taking a long while to write my first official story and publishing it for everyone to read. But that's a long road ahead.
