    I will return to G5

    Hey, guys. Mr. J here.

Just so you're aware, I am planning to return to MLP G5: both watching Tell Your Tale and Make Your Mark. Now, I don't remember if I ever told you all about this, but I did inform some of y'all that I've given up hope for G5 because the episodes I watched around that time (two years ago) were so forgettable and boring.

Rating Scale:

12/10—a complete masterpiece; flawless and outstanding
11/10—Excellent, near-perfect film
10/10—the standard rating; awesome film with a couple of flaws
9/10—a wonderful film with several flaws
8/10–a great film with numerous flaws but not enough to ruin it
7/10—a fun and entertaining movie; not great but still enjoyable
6/10—a slightly above average film; it is something I might watch again
5/10—mediocre movie; not awful but not great either
4/10—a below average film; it could have been much better
3/10—a bad film; poorly written and poorly executed
2/10—a very bad movie; the few good things in the movie overshadowed by the bad things
1/10—a terrible movie; a total waste of time
0/10—a worthless piece of abomination; should have never been made

Hey, guys. Here is my review on Madagascar. This is yet another wonderful trilogy I grew up with and which I still enjoy watching even in this present time. Just like with Kung Fu Panda and Night at the Museum, all three films are so entertaining and are filled with lovable characters and interesting storylines. This is probably my third favorite animated trilogy of all time. As for this evening, I will talk about the movie that started it all: Madagascar 🇲🇬!

Ben Stiller for the win, baby!! His voice acting of Alex the Lion is really top-notch that speaks volumes of his casual yet entertaining personality and having a great sense of humor. But not only do we have him as our main character but also Chris Rock as Marty the Zebra, David Schwimmer as Melman the Giraffe, and Jada Pinkett Smith as Gloria the Hippo! Great casting choice there! All four of them gave fantastic voice performances as their respective characters and clearly gave their all which means that they had plenty of fun with the project.

But wait... we have the iconic penguins in the house, y’all!! Skipper, Kowalski, Rico, and Private by name! Ahh, I remember watching the Nickelodeon show called “The Penguins of Madagascar” when I was a kid. It’s been so long since I watched the show; I haven’t even seen the end thereof, so I might want to watch them in order this weekend. I would love to relive the memories.

Anyway, the penguins were a fun dynamic to have in this film, in the sequels, and in their own film which I will review soon. They stole every scene they were in and made great moments with each other and with our main characters. Of course, I can’t forget our comedy relief characters: the unforgettable King Julien, the sarcastic and no-nonsense Maurice, and the cute and adorable Mort. I remember when I, my mom, and my sister used to laugh so hard every time Julien made rude yet hilarious remarks.

Mort: Oh, I like them! I liked them first! Before I even met them, I liked them! I liked them right away!

Julien: OH SHUT UP! You’re so annoying!

Julien: Does anyone else have the hebe-jebes?? No? Good! So shut up!

We laughed so hard at those lines. 🤣

Gosh, the comedy and the story were just... splendid I would say, but the antagonists were... underwhelming. I would argue that Alex was a semi-villain in this because of his hunger for meat and steaks. Frankly, it makes sense since Alex is a LION and Marty is a ZEBRA for crying out loud. I know, don’t take this seriously since these animals would not be “friends” in real life, but hey, at least they addressed it in this movie. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Still, the Fossas were barely in the movie to be the main antagonists. Oh well, at least we had actual villains in the sequels.

But... this movie is awesome. So... I LIKE TO MOVE IT, MOVE IT! I LIKE TO MOVE IT, MOVE IT... TO A 10/10!

YOU LIKE TO... MOVE IT!

FEEEEEET!

Childhood film of mine!

Let’s go wild!

(Mort voice) Would 'All Hail King Juilen' be on your watch list, too?

5447223
Here's a Million Dollar Question: What the heck is Mort exactly since he's only 40% lemur?

5447235
I have no clue. When I was kid, I always thought he and the rest were all squirrels. Haha, never heard of a lemur until I got older.

5447236
Well according to Mort's records, he's part Bear, Starfish, Sand, Potbelly pig, a spool of copper wire, wood chips, and spider.

5447241
I'm not making this up. He also is apparently some kind of inter-dimensional traveler who is apparently immortal.

5447247
So he’s basically like Discord?

5447252
Apparently so. He apparently has absorbed the life essence of other Morts. Which I believe given his reaction to coffee.
