After having been on this site since 2019 (just a few days from the 5-year mark too), I have achieved 200 followers!

Although I wish to still have interaction with a select few of you, it's still nice to partake on this site. I'm glad of the following my stories have or had achieved, even if some stuff I'm not proud of anymore.

    Here's to 200. Cheers!

To the fellow Pibby fans, MLP fans, and readers on this site. With the announcement of My Little Corrupted Pony: Collapse, I’m going to be opening a QnA. Questions for the upcoming sequel are mainly preferred but I’ll take any questions that relate to the story as a whole.

I’ll make a reminder post later but here’s this.

Scorching Flames (series) Review: Survivors of Extinction · 1:53am Feb 2nd, 2021

Grades (since it's not a collab, I'm using my own):
0: A very bad project.
1-3: Very bad project. Tiny good things.
4-6: Mediocre. Some good parts, some bad ones.
7-9: Very good. Some flaws, but not too annoying.
10: Best thing ever!

Hey folks. ScorchingFlames here. I know it's been a while since I reviewed something. But I thought I'd review this to you all. This is Survivors of Extinction, a series created by the same person who did Pony Meets World. And just like PMW, I loved this series.

I got into it because when Joey quit making his pony content, I made a vow to check out his other stuff. And when he announced a season 2 of this series, I decided to finally check it out. And I was not disappointed. I'm just going to get this out... you have to check out his non-pony content. It's just as engaging.

1. The story. Unlike PMW, it has a more serious and tragic tone. It starts with Joey-0, who has been asleep in a bunker for an unknown period of time. The first episode is filled with mystery. The world was in war for a long time, with nuclear bombs having been dropped. When Joey wakes up, he doesn't know how long he was out. When he finally leaves the bunker, it's mainly like a wasteland. Another important thing that happens is that Joey nearly goes rabid because of some virus, and he had to take pills. So already, the first episode starts with mystery. We don't know much about this story when it starts, but there is a lot explained in flashbacks: first, some of the Brum soldiers, including him, got a virus where they occasionally go rabid and crave human flesh. They act feral, their eyes go red, and they grow fangs. They have to eat medicine to stay sane.

In present time, one of the problems Joey has in the series is that the Brum Leader himself joined another team formed by the government, where they hunt down any Brum soldiers that have this virus to exterminate them. And because Joey had it, he was on the run. Another part of Joey, and another one of the main goals he has throughout the series, is to find his fiancé, who he was separated with when the Brum brought him and his fiancé to different areas, separating them. From what I've gathered, it's a decent tragic story. Her fate is unknown, and we don't know if she's dead or alive. It's a good engaging story, and when I watched this before bed, I kept saying that it was going to be the last episode I watched before I then changed my mind. This cycle lasted until episode 10.

2. So... let's go to characters. Once again, our main protagonist is Joey-O. However, he's different than in PMW, being more serious, troubled, and tragic. Once again, I loved Joey in this, and he's just as engaging and interesting as in this.

Another character, our presumed antagonist, is the Brum Leader. The Brum Leader was a great character. His voice was awesome, and we don't see his face, which isn't really an important thing.

Joey does encounter other people during his journey. Aside from the Brum Leader, he encounters some Brum soldiers not affiliated with the second team. They provide some very important things about the story. One of the major soldiers Joey bonded with was played by Roilan too, which got me excited. We got a couple more minor characters that were killed off at some point. Yeah. People died here. There was some blood too, adding to the dark tone.

3. The flaws. Some dialogue was very hard to hear or understand, which would lessen some of the convincing aspects of this. Not all special effects were bad, but some could have been better. I also wish that a bit of Joey's virus was explored more in the finale, since after episode 8 or 9, he never shows symptoms of the virus again. Maybe he took pills off-scene, but I don't know. I wish there was a bit more exploration in the finale. Also, even though I got some of the backstory, it would be hard to follow for others. You'd have to have your thinking caps on to understand it. Just like this review. The twist also didn't feel too impactful, but I think that's my fault... I previewed the series a while before watching this. I don't know.

Overall, though, this is proof that Joey's non-pony content is just as good as his other content. If you're looking for a more serious project to make you feel different about his content after this, this must be a go-to. The verdict? 9/10. Just like PMW, there's some to a bunch of flaws, but it's engaging enough to not ignore. I've said this before, and I'll do it again... check this stuff out, and subscribe to his friggin' channel.

See you all when I go back to game reviews.

Hey buddy, got a second?

Inc, I love ya, buddy. But that blog you did earlier was nasty.

I guess I'm not as fazed by gore. I decided to post it, either for my feelings to chores or my family issues, and family issues beat the former to it.

There's some stuff I can't resist posting.

I completely understand, but did you take into account you might have underage followers?

5446134
Eeeeeeehhhh...

I guess not...

Bro, that video is R-Rated material. You could traumatize a 6-year kid with it.

Technically, it's on a TV-14 show. Besides, I've posted scary stuff here before.

Just give a fair warning, next time.
