This morning, I was looking at photos of me doing masculine poses and it made me cringe so hard. To add insult to injury, the lighting made the foundation on my face look like I had an uneven tan.

I tore the photos into pieces and threw them into the garbage bin where they belong. Whether people like it or not, I'm embracing the authentic version of myself and clearly, those photos do not define who I am today.

I'm not a photogenic person, I don't conform to outdated societal norms, and I absolutely hate anything that degrades my gender identity (discriminatory remarks, toxic masculinity). If people don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all.
