happy new year everypony! i know it's almost the end of january so "new" is kinda relative, but still! i hope this year is treating y'all right!
as for me, i've done alot of relaxing and thinking about stuff and like,, reflecting these last couple months. last year was rough for me, but i'm rly proud of how i handled my writing. i spent most of last year testing my limits, seeing how far i could go and what i could do, and this year i plan to just work within those limits to make the best stuff i can.
so yea, i am slowly but surely working on more Horse Fiction. no eta on when i'll be updating anything, but i am working on it. my plan is to build up a buffer and then publish one entire story arc at a time of either azure edge or sunlight underground in weekly installments. i want to get the first of those arcs, the continuation\resolution of the first circle arc of sunlight, out to y'all asap! buuuuut preventing burnout and staying comfortable are my priorities for the moment so it might be a hot minute still. i am working on it tho.
i've had alot of ups and downs with pony fandom, especially lately. i think everyone who is in this extremely wonderful but also super fucking cursed fandom has had that experience, and it's been weighing on my mind alot lately. but the thing i keep coming back to is that despite my feelings on the fandom and all the gross shit that can go on in there (and all the stuff that isn't as cursed but still bugs me personally), i love mlp. and i love writing it. it's somthn that means alot to me and that i still wanna keep doing just cuz i wanna do it. even when i start doing like original fiction someday, there's a part of me that would rly enjoy still making pony fics for fun, just for me and for the ppl who enjoy them.

over my break i decided to take a stab at an idea i've been kicking around for a loooooong time. if y'all have followed my pony recap blog (or god forbid, my twitter), y'all will probably be aware that as much as i love mlp, i am often disappointed by it for alot of reasons. so like,, what if i made my own mlp bootleg that i could do anything i wanted with?? *thinking emoji*
INTRODUCING
YOUR DEER FRIEND: A LESBIAN DEER STORY
a series of episodic visual novels about a group of colorful lesbian deer who are working to form their own order of valiant knights, while dealing with personal demons and their burgeoning relationships with each other along the way. if u click that link above it'll take u to the tumblr where i've been very active in updating with all of the lore and worldbuilding and character info that i've come up with so far. the series is still VERY EARLY in pre-production but i am having a blast writing for it, and if u enjoy the stuff i write here, u will probably get somthn outta Lesbian Deer Story!
so yea i think that covers about everything! here's the cliffnotes version:
-azure edge and sunlight underground updates are coming, but they're coming a bit slowly rn
-the updates will be Big when i do finally publish them (each story arc will be at least three months of weekly chapters)
