hello. we have been in limbo for the past four days. we can't get our stuff out of storage. we can't go into town to get our errands done. we can't get our PayPal situation resolved, and the message we got from PayPal support makes us think our account is going to be locked.
what happens to the donations people sent if that occurs? do they just get eaten up? is there anything we can do to unfuck our lives at this point or should we just give up?
i'm really sorry for a stupid shitty post like this. i am reaching the end of my rope and i do not know what to do. i feel like i don't have anyone to help and i can't do things by myself. i'm crying a lot and i don't know what to do.

You DO do things by yourself. There are some things you can't do alone, but you are doing what you can.
What errands do you need to get done?
Don't give up on Paypal. It's a Sunday; take the day off from that nonsense and try again on Monday. And don't give up on getting your funds retrieved, for at least three months. If you need money in the meantime, let us readers know, and title the blog something like: "Help! Financial Assistance Needed, Paypal Locked". Your blog posts are fine, but the titles look exactly the same as "writer's block" style blog titles, so some of your followers who could help with technical or money matters might not know they should read!
If you can figure out a useful place to have gift cards from, please let us all know, and I for one will try sending a little gift card and wait to find out from you if it works. I worry and have a checking compulsion, so, at risk of making donations be about myself, I hope to find out if you actually got the money and were able to use it.
If the Paypal situation isn't resolved early this week, please post a breakdown of what you told them and what they said, in case any more knowledgeable person here can help. Paypal's FAQs are super UNhelpful.
The US has places such as group homes for adults. Does Canada have anything like that, where you could get on a waiting list? Don't give up on looking for long-term lodging with roommates.
YES, things will get better. I know it's like a cascade of problems at this point, but your previous living situation was untenable. You couldn't write there. A flood of problems is not actually worse than one long, grinding, unbearable problem. And you need to live someplace with enough roommates that your money will cover groceries through the middle of the month, with a little something left over, and you can start writing again.
Sorry if none of this helps, I just have a busy day ahead and really didn't want to let this sit, I wanted to reply right away and let you know I'm thinking of you, do I didn't think this post through a whole lot, I just rambled.

Oh. And one more thing. I write, too, and this is the best advice I can give you: Spend twenty minutes today, somehow, no matter what, writing. Outline the next commission, look over that next story you were going to post. And set a small goal for amount of time to spend writing next week. Don't have a daily time writing goal, have a weekly goal, in case you miss some days, and strive to meet it. Make it something you can meet. Set a limit on your active worrying time because you have work to do. It is the only way you will MAKE yourself/selves feel better. You can do it.
As Feech wrote, please give us a breakdown of the key info points on your correspondence with PayPal's resolution center - some details we can use to push an investigation from our end. It's your money, you need it, and they're essentially stealing it from you, deliberately or not.
Yes. It’s blatantly illegal but PayPal has been doing this for AGES. Nothing less than a class‐action lawsuit of epic proportions is going to change that and even then it’s doubtful it will succeed.
Don't give up. Keep trying and let us know if you find an alternate means of donating to you.
I'll be keeping a eye on you. Got a decent windfall coming. If I could give you some money without paypal ,I will.
