    I will return to G5

    Hey, guys. Mr. J here.

Just so you're aware, I am planning to return to MLP G5: both watching Tell Your Tale and Make Your Mark. Now, I don't remember if I ever told you all about this, but I did inform some of y'all that I've given up hope for G5 because the episodes I watched around that time (two years ago) were so forgettable and boring.

Hey, guys. Here is my review of Kung Fu Panda. This is absolutely one of my favorite animated films of all time and definitely a part of one of my favorite trilogies of all time as well. This film has plenty of heart and story as it focuses on the character development and beginning of a new series/franchise within DreamWorks. To be blunt, this is probably second place in my list of which Kung Fu Panda movies I like most. The third installment is my least favorite although it was a really good movie, and the second installment is my number 1 favorite of the trilogy. I will explain my reasons once I review the second and third movies this week. For now, let’s talk about this gem:

Jack Black was amazing in this one! We are introduced to this interesting and awesomely humorous protagonist named Po who has always dreamed to be the dragon warrior and to team up with a group of fierce highly trained warriors called the Furious Five. We see him living his occupation as a chef for noodles under the supervision of his adopted father. But he wants to do something more meaningful and more noteworthy for his life. Thus, we see him begin his journey once he “accidentally” meets with Oogway and Shifu along with the Furious Five—Tigress, Mantis, Monkey, Viper, and Crane.

Honestly, I don’t care much for the four other team members although Tigress was a little more interesting. But I like her much more as a character in the next film. As for Oogway, he was really funny as well. One of my favorite parts was when he was blowing away those candles in front of Shifu, turns his head like he was about to say something to him only to turn back to blow a few more candles. That was so funny! 😂 So this film had great moments of humor and good pacing.

This dude was an absolute beast and a force to be reckoned with! Ian McShane did a great job voicing this character and giving him life, vigor, and a menacing personality. His backstory was a bit heartbreaking as well since he worked everything so hard to the point where he truly believed he would be chosen as the dragon warrior. But because Shifu loved and practically spoiled him too much for him to see the pride and lust for power clouding Tai Lung’s senses, it led to him being rejected by Oogway. Gosh, I wish he had more screen time to fully radiate his character as a villain.

The action scenes are fantastic and well animated, the animation itself is great to look at, the story is well written, the voice acting is top-notch, and Shifu himself was not that bad. In fact, I think he grew on me the more I watched him in this movie and in the other two. Overall, it’s a great start to an amazing trilogy. I give it an 11/10!

Peace ✌🏼

It had it's moments.

The Kung Fu Panda films are some of my favorite movies too. I’ve personally loved all three films, particularly to the point of where it’s hard for me to pick which is the best.

Gosh, I wish he had more screen time to fully radiate his character as a villain.

Funny thing. After the Wuxi Finger Hold was given more exploration in the third film as to what it does, I realized that Tai Lung would very much be alive instead of dead. Ever since then, I became interested in seeing him make a comeback as the main villain of a fourth film.

I love this film too.
