First off, remember what you're are dealing with. Going back to my last blog I can sum up your typical radical leftist in a few words; spoiled children with a cult-like mindset, who have been groomed to have a complete lack of empathy for others they deem unfit to live. In all honesty, normal people should avoid meaningless confrontation with cultists who can’t be swayed, however, the reality of the matter is that at some point, you may be forced in a debate with someone on the radical left. It's becoming more common, since they launch fake outrage at nearly everything nowadays.
Most people rather not exchange words with these people. but rather than avoiding them, you should arm yourself with the techniques required to defeat a radical leftist in a debate, and destroy their argument as much as is possible. You may think it's unless to debate someone who can't be swayed but remember that the internet is basically an open forum. The goal isn’t to sway your opposition – it’s to influence those on the sides who are watching; The people who watch can form opinions on what they are seeing. While some pragmatic observers may see what game the radical leftists are playing, most normies will not. It’s important to note, that before you begin to put forth your argument, you should, arm yourself with historic facts, logics, and always ensure that the debate takes place on equal moral grounds. At this point you are already winning, because radical leftists will always shun facts, and defy logic at the drop of a dime.
The best thing you should do is attempt to ask questions at them, related to what their opinion on the current matter is. This is a common weakest in a radical leftist, because they only get their 'opinions' from regurgitated mainstream media news outlets and are very incapable of thinking for themselves. Whenever you start to ask questions, they’ll attempt to distract you by assaulting your character with unwarranted, baseless claims, and may even try to bait you into answering their own questions. Being labeled a racist, misogynist, bigot, or white nationalist are just a few of the many buzzwords that will be pelted your way is never an enjoyable experience. You may feel the urge to throw slanderous accusations back at them, but it won’t progress the debate, and you’ll come off just as craven as them... unless you're attempting to attack them with their own hypocrisy, but that will be brought up in a different blog. What you want to do for this approach is come off as calm, composed, and as rational as you can. Don’t retort with “I’m not racist” because you’re essentially proving that you value their point, and feel it a point worthwhile of rejection. You want to inform them that you won’t continue the debate so long as they continue to slander you with unfounded claims. At this point, they'll call you a racist again and pour on more baseless insults in order to feel like they are winning, but this only solidifies their defeat. They have now proved to the observers that they were never interested in a serious debate and will embarrass themselves further.
In truth, radical leftists do not participate in debates, and they never operate in good faith--they very literally never have and never will. To them, a debate is just a place for them to scream toxicity with made up facts while seeking to break you down in order to make you feel less than human. Every time you let them throw baseless claims at you, they corrupt the space in which they're speaking a little bit more, and they chase off onlookers who are made uncomfortable by their toxic rhetoric. The more they corrupt the space, the more observers start to realize they are watching a zealot making a fool of themselves. This is even more noticeable when a large group of them launch a coordinated attack on you. The sad part is these cultists have no self-awareness and live in a alternate world that lacks mirrors and actual thought process. They've essentially become a slave to critical theory, while abandoning critical thought process at the same time. The more you, as a normal person, stay steadfast and weather the constant blows, the more the radical leftist exposes themselves as the heartless monsters they are.
In short... Stay calm, have good mental fortitude, and view everything they say with a smile on your face. Radical leftists are constantly angry at the world, so if you stay positive and laugh at their stupidity, you've already won. Don't be discouraged by constant attacks from them either. The more they attack you, the more they feel that you are a legit threat to their very existence. Eventually they will double down and attack you so hard, that moderates and people less leaning then them will start to question things and break away. Once a radical leftist starts to push people on the same side of them away, then their whole world starts to crumble before them.
The biggest weakness of a radical leftist is that they are over-socialized, emotionally unstable, and need constant voices from a collective group-think to keep them going. Take those away and you can begin the process of slowly deradicalizing them. Remember, the only outcome is that one side wins and the other loses. There’s no truce to be had, no possibility of a tie. You either deradicalize them, or they will radicalize you.

All of these things are true for an extremist on either side. You're essentially dealing with a person who has whole-heartedly consumed the kool-aid and no longer knows how to tell what is real. Gonna be honest, Titty. You're not gonna be able to do real change with these blogs. You're only gonna cause more pointless arguments and further divide people on the site from one another.
I get it, especially after dealing with some bs myself, but I think you might be unwilling to truly look at the big picture by having blog after blog about the evil "leftists."
I think real change comes from finding some common ground, and then trying to understand everyone's point of views on a topic, and to then try and find a solution. This dehumanization of political opposition has really bummed me out, cause I like this site, and I hate seeing people I like go at each other's throats over asinine politics that won't go anywhere, aside the flame war that will be this comment section much like any other.

Look at the bigger picture, yes. When the subjects of this blog absolutely refuse to seek common ground and lie, defame, and try to take control of the platform, you no longer get to chastise the person with the open door of not seeking common ground.
The common ground isn't with the subjects of the blog. It's with the folks just here for the comments. It's for the people eating popcorn and watching, without offering more than a thumbs up or down if anything at all.

I've tried that myself with quite a few moderate-to-hard-leaning leftists on this site. Only one of them was able to respond in kind, and we both recognized, congratulated, and even thanked each other on being willing to listen because that is in admittedly short supply nowadays. So in an ideal hypothetical world, yes, absolutely. However, this is what happens when someone actually tries that now. They get attacked by the left en masse. There was a point, thirty years ago and even up through twenty years ago, where that idea was in practice and people believed in it; understand your neighbors, and realize that with the recent fall of the USSR that there really is no such thing as a permanent enemy. That mindset has been changed through careful and deliberate manipulation of mass media, and even more effectively through social media.
Right now, a handful of companies decide what information you are allowed to see and hear without any form of oversight. We, as a nation, have been driven to this point; whether or not you view yourself as being on a side or not, the left has been conditioned to view anyone not with them as against them. And through social media, they are psychologically encouraged and even rewarded for every vicious attack they make publicly; likes and favorites flow in for the proven and addictive dopamine hit, echo chambers reinforce the belief that they can do no wrong, and anyone who disagrees is cast aside and destroyed.

Don't engage with them then. If it won't actually amount to anything but more vile to the pile then what's the point of it? Yeah, some real fuckery has happened in these blogs, and personally I've been pretty disgusted by some of the hatred I've seen. But considering it's the usual crew over and over, I'm starting to believe that maybe, just maybe, it really ain't gonna help making another blog of the same message that is bound to get the cycle running again.
Believe me, I know the feeling. Been called a 'nazi' plenty of times in the past from radicals. See, here's the deal, though. On this pony writing website, people like me come here to not be engaged with this side or that side, or he said this, or she said that, or this is what's going on in the world of politics and this is why our opposition sucks major doo doo butter. We come here for stories, and considering all the porn, maybe a good wack off/bunny petting session.
I can't even begin to tell you about all the people I knew who betrayed my trust when I engaged in politics last Summer, nor can I begin to even go into detail about how many of my friends suddenly started to shit talk each other behind their backs for differing opinions instead of doing what should have been done from the start, sitting down and talking it out. And it's the continuation of this same tired trend that has bothered me, because I honestly tired of seeing it. If no one at all speaks up, they continue to speak. They get their echo chambers either way, but they also proselytize in any space they can.
We're in the position we're currently in because of the actions of a few grabbing the attention of the media and then pushing for change on one of the pillars of our fandom, Derpibooru. They have not let up. They may go quiet at times, but they're still pushing for this outcome. To go silent and not push back is to concede.
You don't have to agree with either side. We're not asking you to pick a side. If you're interested, watch and eat popcorn. You've said you're not interested, and that's fine too. But please do consider that when you're giving advice of "don't engage because of [your standards]" we get that you mean well, but our being silent lets them continue their attacks. I'd ask you to reconsider your request that other people stop what they want to do just because you don't like that they're doing it. Not because you disagree, but because you just want the conflict to go away.
If you're tired and don't want to see it, it's a simple matter to just skip the blog once you realize it's political.

It's not just the Internet, unfortunately.
Blegh it is quite hard to have a conversation with one especially when I have to work directly with one at my job. He came in with a shirt that showed a naked Trump cuddling with Putin and since I did not react he attacked me with slander to get me worked up and when I calmly told him facts he shot them all down with a smile and said he takes Politcal science like that somehow makes anything he says the absolute truth and that I am stupid.
In then end I just told him to believe what he wants to believe I just know for a fact that the only Nazzers out there are the left and their ideology ripped right out of Hitlers playbook and when he tried to respond I ignored him for the last hour.
I dread having to work with him as he has ALWAYS been real annoying before and is always trying to start shit with me.
