I got a piece of the kidney stone wrapped in a bandage, so I guess it's fine. I'm still under anesthesia and I can't move my legs, but it's slowly getting better (during the surgery I asked if they already started and it turned out it was almost over, so it worked pretty well).

Well good

Great to hear.

But more importantly, can you play chess?

Even more importantly, does a half-anesthetized Samey mean I have a shot at winning for once?

Glad to hear it went well. Hold onto that stone because it will protect you against future kidney stones. Science

I believe in you! You can do it, you can win! :flutterrage:

Also, what does science say about naming kidney stone? Will it bring more fortune or less.

Wishing you a good recovery !

I need to be kinder to my kidneys by drinking less coffee.

kudzuhaiku also has a kidney stone.
They've had it for a while... months I think.
That doesn't sound good.

I haven't tried playing chess yet, but I think anesthesia wore off by now (still, I don't feel good enough to try, especially since the internet connection here is wonky). Right now, I was finally allowed to eat.
Also, funny thing about the anesthesia, it started wearing off in random places so, for example, at some point I could move three toes and a thigh in my right leg while in the left leg I could only move the calf muscles.

Months? Sounds painful (I had the first attack by the end of December and I went to the doctor with it). Then I had another attack two days ago, but painkillers didn't work so I ended up in the ER. They gave me better meds, but after they wore off, I ended up in the hospital with another episode of pain. I can't imagine dealing with this for months.

Glad to hear you're on the road to recovery!
