I've recently had the delight of becoming friends with applejackofalltrades, a writer and artist who has done several pieces of WWB art (including two pieces for the upcoming Breaking the Ice, one of which is the cover). He's new to Fimfiction, only having been here a few months, and has just released his fourth story, Off to the Races, which I proofread. It's a nice Appledash story about their first date, and a sequel to his first story (which I also retroactively proofread), Sweet, Sweet Record O' Mine. I don't think the first is required reading for the second, although of course if you want the full picture then start with Record. I do think Races is a huge step up in his writing quality, and that makes me excited to see where he goes in the future. He's an author I'll be keeping an eye on for sure
