The time has come for Fimfiction’s premiere interview podcast to close its doors. The Barcast, a podcast that’s dedicated the last eight years to interviewing authors, artists, show staff, and community guests of the brony fandom is having its final two episodes.
What you call "the most distressing fanfiction of all time" is something highly relative. A quarter century later, I vividly remember my Middle school literature teacher lambasting "The Apocryphal Quixote", an unauthorized sequel to the Quixote published 9 years after the original novel, and one year before the real sequel. Professor Fernandez spent months lambasting that book like it had insulted him personally, although the real offence was that the book's author was named Alonso Fernandez de Avellaneda. I guess it was a taint to the family name, as far as my teacher was concerned.
