    Reply to Review from Stinium_Ruide

Overall, I am beyond impressed. Stinium_Ruide (can I call you Stinium for short? Or SR?) just but a heck of a lot of preparation and focused thought into his Review, and I just have to say…

Wow! I am honored that you gave it so much time and effort, so I need to give you a humble thanks. Thank you so much!

    Whoa! Editor dropped in!

Heh. Thanks for all of the votes. To those who voted yes: Thanks for your confidence and enthusiasm.
To those who voted no: Thanks for your honesty, realism, and patience.

Now that Seriff has given it the once over, I can't just hit publish at the moment. I need to go through his suggestions---once done, I'll send it up live.

Amulet in two weeks... (finally) · 2:17am Jan 5th, 2021

Well. I've been sitting on this already written-but-as-yet-not-polished chapter for a while now. Every intention of getting to it, but life has had other ideas 'n' stuff. Still plan on finishing the darn thing... Hope to accelerate. Tillie-TMB is gonna graduate HS this year, and I've gotta crank this out before she takes off.

I'll do my best. Really don't want to reduce quality in that effort though. Not gonna happen. Instead, this chapter should publish within the next two weeks. (might depend on editor availabilities)

As for today? I've had free time to write! Drove from Seattle area down to Houston TX in a four-day trip, helping get my son situated for an internship down there. Now I'm flying back, but it was cheaper to buy a one-way ticket from Houston to Vegas, and then a second one-way ticket from Vegas back to Seattle. But it leaves me with a bit of waiting time, so here I am in the Vegas airport leaving a blog! And finishing my editing of chapter sixteen! Yus!:rainbowdetermined2:

Sites along the way: We travelled from home town to Twin Falls ID on day one. Then did Twin Falls to Farmington New Mexico on day two. Day three we did Farmington NM over to Wichita Falls on Day three, then made it to Houston day four.

Tried to get Mexican food in Farmington, since it was the Southwest... Unfortunately, had to settle for a not-good place that was still open due to combined factors of it being Jan. 1st and also COVID. Disappointment.

Tried Texas BBQ while passing through Corsicana. It was Dickie's BBQ pit, though, so wasn't as good as I was expecting either. Ah well. Anyhoo, here are a few sights from the trip (I was more busy driving than photo snapping).

Southern Utah, on the way to Moab

Northern New Mexico - "Land of Enchantment"

Tumbleweed near Santa Rosa, NM (we smacked into a few of these... :rainbowlaugh:

Somewhere in Eastern TX near Adrian (where?!)

All righty, folks. Back to what I was doing! (finishing my editz)

Ah damn, if only you’d told us sooner about the Houston trip. I could of given you suggestions on a couple of Mexican and local restaurant that are must try.

Absolutely. I lived there from 1999 to 2001 while attending physical therapy school Restaurants in Houston are awesome. Couldn't stay however. I have work tomorrow!

WOOOOOH! Also, my confidence is growing!
