Hey, guys! Here is my review of this film called Jumper from 2008. Some of you guys may not have heard of it, but this is the one that features famous actors namely Hayden Christensen and Samuel L. Jackson. Since they had roles to play in it, I felt that I wanted to review this movie, considering that I love these guys... mainly for their roles in Star Wars and Jackson’s roles in the MCU films and in other films. To be honest, this movie was a gigantic pile of garbage; it is filled with bland acting from most of the cast and a nonsensical premise. Plus, the story was a chore to sit through. So here are my thoughts on this eyesore:

1). Hayden had no heart whatsoever in this role of being... a Jumper? I mean, he was great as Anakin Skywalker, but here... he couldn’t even have a semblance of energy in his acting. His character, David Rice, was a generic, boring teenager with that “I’m a chill guy” attitude.

2). Do not get me started with his love interest: Millie. Rachel Bilson—the actress who played as her—could not even act in this entire film. She must have taken lessons from Megan Fox because she looked so dead in the inside and could not offer anything valuable to the plot or to the story. She is just as bad as Rachel from The Dark Knight and M.J. Watson from the Spider-Man trilogy.

3). The story itself doesn’t even make sense. The jumpers have been hunted down by this group led by Roland (played by Sam Jackson) for many years only because they would bring harm to the world. So Roland has been killing them off to preserve peace from their existence, believing they would all turn bad. This movie portrays them—well, mostly David and Griffin—as the good guys, yet David secretly robbed a bank, dodged his responsibilities, became dishonest with his girlfriend, owned a penthouse from that large amount of money he stole, and became super lazy. Also, he watched a group of innocent people in danger from a flood via TV, but he didn’t do a SINGLE thing about it. He could’ve just teleported to those people and saved their lives.

Nope, just live out your selfish life as always. Not once did he ever feel remorseful over his actions or payed the consequences for his actions at the end. No, the punishments from Roland are not enough. It’s unclear whether his father actually was murdered or not since the movie never clarified whether that was the case, and the only thing he proved to Roland that he was different was... by not killing him and leaving him stranded in the wilderness. Okay??? He will soon die of starvation in the middle of nowhere, so how did that prove that point exactly?

Judging by the way jumpers had done, they are logically the bad guys. Even though Roland was extreme in some of his hunting methods, he was literally doing the right thing by hunting them down, yet the movie portrays him as the villain! Griffin was so reckless and careless that he nearly had no regard for others safety like how he teleported that bus full of people in his attempt to crash it on top of Roland. Our hero, ladies and gentlemen.

This movie teaches teenagers that it is okay to rob banks and steal cars as long as they don’t get caught. You can do anything you wish without suffering the consequences. Like what Roland said, there are always consequences for any action.

4). Roland was honestly the best part of the movie because of Jackson’s legendary acting and because he was the only one who made sense in this entire 1/10 dumpster fire. This right here was the only good part of the movie:

Probably. But let me tell ya, the scene I shared in my Review reminded me so much of Revenge of the Sith. Look at the comment section of the video. :rainbowlaugh:
