    Life Update.

    So…. Yeah.

Long story short, quite a few things happened. SMoTE is still not getting regular updates, at most I can try to squeeze a chapter out a month. This isn’t because I’m too busy with my new job or anything, because I apparently don’t have one.

So yeah, if you read my last blog post then you know I was planning to delay SMoTE updates because of some amazing job opportunities.

Tales From the Trash Bin #9. Creative Anon-A-Miss Title. · 4:03am Jan 1st, 2021

Happy New Year!
It’s that time of the week once again. It’s Trash Day! Yay!

So, as usual, I’m posting a story that I attempted to cobble together, failed, and quit writing so I could pursue other projects. Most of my unfinished work ends up on here, and there’s only going to be two more posts after this, unless I decide to upload that Cutie Mark story for adoption, or take that stalker story and put it on here… Eh, whatever. As usual, if you like this and want it to be a real story, go ahead and take this and run wild with it. One person’s trash is another’s treasure after all.

Now, I, not so proudly, present the corpse of…

The Sunrise After Anon-a-Miss.

The tragic end of Anon-A-Miss leads to the ominous beginning of a new threat, Onymous. Will the students of Canterlot High find the perpetrator, or will Sunset be trapped in their claws?

Chapter 1. A Sunset.

The buzzing of dozens of phones in the cafeteria caused nearly every conversation to die as every teenager checked their phones for the latest update to Anon-A-Miss on MyStable. While many of the students feared what they would find on the poster’s page, many of them were eager to find the next juicy secret posted by the, ironically not anonymous, user. Only a few students were exempt from falling into the fevered frenzy of hoping for drama, among them being a table of five girls who were the poster’s first victims.

Applejack, the country girl with a knack for knowing the truth, bitterly ate her lunch, ignoring the buzzing phones that reminded her of the hornets’ nest that each post poked. The other five, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash, all ate in silence as well, focusing on their own thoughts as students began to gossip about the latest post.

The silence at the table was only broken by the rainbow haired teen as she shoved her tray to the side. “God damnit. I can’t believe that Sunset is doing this even when she’s not here.”

“Just ignore it, Darling,” Rarity advised. “It’s not like any of us know where she lives, and I doubt we could convince her to stop with any calls or texts.”

“Maybe we should try getting in touch with Twilight,” Pinkie Pie offered. “I’m sure we could tell her that Sunset is being a big jerk to everyone in school, and Twilight can make her stop.”

“‘Cept we can’t call her,” Applejack finally intruded. “Only Sunset had a book ta talk with the princess, an I doubt she’d be willin’ ta give it up and let us call Twilight.”

“Um… Maybe we could try another way?” Fluttershy asked as the students in the cafeteria began goading a certain cello player over her latest secret.

“I say we find Sunset and make her give us the book,” Rainbow Dash stated firmly.

“A’right. An’ how da ya suppose we find ‘er? Like Rares said, ain’t none of us know where she is.”

“Well, she has to come back to school at some point, right? It’s not like she can just skip an entire semester,” Rainbow Dash reasoned.

“Yeeeeah, ‘cept she probably could,” Applejack rebuked. “I mean, if’n she’s back ta her old ways, what the heck’s stoppin’ her from settin’ up shop in another school an’ enslavin’ ‘em or somethin’?”

It was an unspoken fear amongst most of the school that Sunset would attempt to brain wash them again. While many students believed that she was physically unable to, others thought that it would only be a matter of time before she collected enough magic to restore her powers. Though, in truth, none of them had even the faintest grasp of how magic actually worked, but that didn’t stop them from jumping to their own conclusions.

hadn’t been to school for nearly four days, but the constant posts had assured everyone that she was still well enough to make their collective lives miserable.

another post made by Anon-A-Miss.

noticed the cafeteria growing dreadfully silent around them, with the exception of a few horrified gasps as they intently watched their screens.

Hello morons of Canterlot High school. I know you’re all hoping for another juicy secret, but I’m afraid there’s been a change to your regularly scheduled bullshit. You see, I’m not the owner of this account, I’m just a good samaritan who paid a large sum of money to get this account for a bit. You’d be surprised by how much it costs to pay a pretty hacker to break into a MyStable account.

Anyway, I’d love to talk with you all but I need to make this quick. I’ve drafted and rewritten this post too many times now, thinking of the perfect thing to say. But, you know what they say, ‘A picture says a thousand words, and a video tells even more~’. So, enjoy my little short film titled, ‘The Death of Anon-A-Misss.’

...
Tiled floor that panned up to a curtain that was obscuring a hospital bed. A black glove moved to pull the curtain back, slowly revealing the patient that was laying in the hospital bed.

Applejack felt her blood turn cold as she saw the sleeping form of Sunset Shimmer lay in the bed with bandages wrapped around her head and an IV sticking out of her arm. From the corner of the screen, a pair of scissors slowly moved into frame. They could only watch helplessly as the anonymous recorder snapped with the scissors, drawing closer and closer to Sunset’s face until, at the last moment, they veered off course to cut a wire on the Heart Monitor, causing the device to flatline as the video cut to black.

Let the fun begin, CHS. Onymous is here to make their name heard.

Chapter 2. Say My Name.

Onymous, a name that almost meant nothing to anyone outside of the advanced english classes until that morning, had spread their influence over the entire school in under an hour.

was followed by every student at CHS once the video was posted and the Anon-a-Miss page was deleted.

titled, “Sunset’s house tour.”

held a large purple book with a duel red and yellow sun on the cover.

I have to admit, I didn’t expect her to be living in such a shit hole. It makes me feel well knowing that my basement is a better living space than this dump. Speaking of which, for those of you that give a rat’s ass, Sunset is doing fine… In my basement.

I know, I know, aren’t I so nice for giving her a roof over her head in her time of need? It’s more than any of you jackoffs ever did for her, and it’ll be the best treatment she can hope for. I’ve read a lot of your comments and PMs, asking me not to hurt the little demon and just leave her alone. It’s funny considering that half of you told her to go kill herself while she was in the hospital. I wonder where that sympathy was when you all thought she was Anon-A-Miss. Even now, there are some morons who think she’s those idiots. Well, she’s not. Anon-A-Miss is still among you, hiding in your school and reveling in Sunny’s misery. Not just them, either.

I saw something very interesting when I was in their account. A complete history of every secret sent by other students. Since Anon-A-Miss has closed their page, I’ll share a few screenshots I took of their private messages, and let you all know something fun about each other. I hope you all enjoy it, morons.

A picture of Sunset’s journal with the caption, “I think I’m going to give Twilight a nice message.

called hospitals to find her missing student,

“Someone claiming to be her family came in and retrieved her. The hospital staff tried to persuade her, but legally, they can’t hold a patient when their family demands treatment at another facility,” Principal Celestia explained to the five teenagers.

“They had a fake copy of her ID, a birth certificate, doctored family photos, essentially everything they needed to prove that Sunset was a family member.”

“How’d she even end up in the hospital?” Applejack asked.

Principal Celestia, the pillar of support in their school, an unmovable force that could glare at death itself if need be, flinched at the farm girl’s question.

“They wouldn’t share that information unfortunately but… All I know is that something forced her into a coma. They didn’t go any further than that.”

Good news everyone, the admins of MyStable finally got off of their asses and removed my account. Bad news is, they can’t get rid of me. I paid a LOT of money to get that account, and I wasn’t just going to let it go that easily. Thankfully, my hacker gave me a discount, so I’m back again, bitches.

“Twilight!” They all chorused as they rushed out of the booth to bombard the other dimensional princess with questions.

“Her last entries in the journal had assured me that everything was well, and that you all made up,” she said, producing her copy of the aforementioned journal.

Dear Twilight, I want to assure you that everything is fine now. Turns out, the school was placed under a spell that changed everyone’s views of me. The threat has been dealt with and I’m back together with my old friends. I’m not sure what that… thing was, but it’s finally gone. It’s probably something else that Starswirl tossed in here haphazardly, it’s actually a miracle that it didn’t do anything more damaging to the world. If you could, could you give me a list of any known monsters from Equestria that were sent here? Yours Sincerely, Sunset Shimmer.

“I got it five days before the portal stopped working, just when I was preparing to step through the portal and give you all a lecture,” Twilight explained. “Then, when she asked for a list of creatures and monsters sent here, I realized that it would be a good idea to prepare for any creatures or objects that could end up in human hands. I spent days studying and preparing a detailed list of every possible danger that could threaten her, but then I got this,” Twilight said, turning to the last message that she received from the human world.

Dear Princess, please come to CHS at your earliest convenience. There’s a BIG problem here and Sunny isn’t doing well. Go talk to the Rainbooms to find out whats happening. Yours Sincerely, Onymous.

“When I tried to get through the portal, it wouldn’t open. Luckily, I was able to use the same spell that Starswirl used to banish the Sirens here and sent a journal to the human world to act as a new anchor. I ended up coming through a new portal that, frankly, makes me sick.”

“… It’s in a bathroom underground in the subway,” Twilight admitted.

“Sunset was gone from school fer four days… They must’a found her in the hospital and wrote ta ya ta keep ya away from our side.”

“It’s perfect, whoever wrote these messages knew how to forge her handwriting to a ’t’. Even their last reply when they broke character, they still wrote it so well that I thought something had taken control of Sunset.”

Hello, Princess,” a disguised voice drawled out. “It’s lovely to speak to you once again. Tell me, how did you get here after I destroyed the portal and book?

“That doesn’t matter. Listen, I don’t know who you are, but I will find you. Now, tell me where Sunset is now, and I’ll make sure nothing happens to you,” she offered.

Ha! ‘nothing happens to me’?” The voice parroted. “Princess, that’s not very ‘friendly’ now, is it? Are you telling me that Sunset means so little to you that you won’t try to do anything to me?

“She means everything to me!” Twilight replied angrily. “She’s my friend, and I swear, if you hurt her, there won’t be a single rock for you to hide under you miserable excuse for an evolved primate. I was being bucking nice by telling you that I would let you walk away, so you can either give her back and run into your bucking cave, or you can make this harder for yourself and let me grind your skull against the pavement,” she finished, either unaware or ignoring the looks of fear that had spread over the Rainboom’s features.

It was beyond obvious that Twilight was done with any attempts at being civil. Onymous had crossed a line by kidnapping Sunset, and Twilight had made sure to convey just how screwed they were if they didn’t comply immediately.

… … Wow. I honestly didn’t expect that coming from you. The way you replied to her messages, and mine, almost felt like you didn’t care. I mean, ‘Find Family’. Ha! That’s a sick joke, isn’t it? Though, I’ll be honest, I’m a bit jealous that Sunset has a friend like you. Then again, I’m also happy that I don’t have friends like hers.” Onymous shot back, causing the Rainbooms to flinch at their remark.

“Look, hand her over and I promise not to make you bedridden for the rest of your miserably short life,” she threatened.

Not very friendly~” they retorted.

“I think refraining from locking you in a dungeon in another dimension is fairly friendly,” Twilight shot back. “And not just a dungeon in Canterlot either. Have you ever heard of Tartarus? Because it’s real, and I will personally shove you into a cell in there. So, would you please release Sunset Shimmer, and in return, I won’t make you Ceb’s new chew toy before locking you up next to Tirek.”

Hmph. Your threats don’t worry me, Princess.

“Why are you doing this?” Fluttershy whimpered.

And there it is, the million-dollar question. Why? Well, Sunny took something from me, and now I’ve gotten it back.

“So this is revenge then?” Twilight asked. “If so, then congratulations, you’ve had your fun and now it’s time to give her back to us. Or else.”

Had my fun? Princess, I haven’t even begun to really enjoy myself. After all, Sunny isn’t the target of my revenge… It’s you.

“What? What did I do?” Twilight asked.

Well, I’ve actually never met you before. I hated Sunny a lot, but I’ve learned a few things since I found her. She didn’t really mean to hurt me, and I think she’s suffered enough already. This is revenge against you.

It started off simple. I’d get back at Sunny and maybe kill her,” they answered nonchalantly, causing everyone’s blood to run cold at the implications. “But then, when I found her, I learned so much about her. The pain, the torment, the suffering, everything she had ever done to the students of Canterlot… And why she inadvertently ruined my life, the reason for all of my own misery; Princess Celestia. Oh, I was really pissed at her then, but I can’t really tempt fate with a revenge plot against a pony that controls the fucking sun! So, I focused my sights on you, the one who convinced her to stay instead of leaving. The one who abandoned her like her teacher, the one who left her here, the one who only caused more confusion and strife in my life.

When I found her, I wanted to kill her. I wanted to toss her body out of that window and watch it fall. But, I didn’t. Heheheh. Maybe I’m an idiot, maybe it’s her, or maybe this is the best choice I’ve ever had the chance to make. Because now, it means I can get everything I’ve ever wanted and more.

Fine, Princess, I’ll give you a chance. You have until tomorrow night to find the three bitches responsible for Anon-a-Miss, and if you do, then I’ll let Sunny go.

I must admit, taking care of Sunny has given me a new appreciation for doctors. I doubt I’ll be able to take care of her forever, so maybe you’ll get her back some day.

… Pffft. HAHAHHAHAHAHAHA! You-you fucking idiot! HAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh my god, you actually took the bait, I don’t fucking believe it! HAHAHAHA! Weren’t you supposed to be a genius or something, at least your counterpart here is. But no, you do something stupid like falling for this?! HAHAHAHA!

“You said it was three people, and the journal entry said that everyone was under the influence of magic.”

Oh, Princess, princess, princess. I gave you a clue, three people whom I considered bitches were responsible for Anon-A-Miss. Also, did you really think I was telling the truth in that journal entry? I knew it was vague enough for you to think about the Dazzlings, but I actually thought you were smarter than this. After all, aren’t I just a… what did you call me? ‘Pathetic excuse of an evolved primate’ or something along those lines?

I really thought you were smart, that you’d look at the clues given to you and see the big picture. But, you failed, Princess.

Once upon a time, there was a small town. In this small town was a small school full of small children. The small children made a small club, and that small club wrote a few small words. Those small words made a really Big mess, all because those small students wanted to get six small marks,” The voice drooled on, causing Twilight to freeze as memories of Ponyville began to play in her mind.

Those small children learned a big lesson that day, one that their counterparts in this world haven’t yet. Do you understand now Princess? You failed. The answer was inside your head all along, and you fucked up. When I found out about those three, I was confused, but when I found out about their counterparts in Equestria, it suddenly made sense. I thought that you of all creatures in either realm would know this.

It’s why I offered this chance to save her, to see if you could use your own brain. But, just like the Rainbooms, you jumped to a preconceived notion and accused three, arguably, innocent girls of a crime they didn’t commit. You cited their past as a reason for their alleged actions without looking at your own fucking memories. Ah~. It’s… I want to say funny, but it’s actually pretty pathetic. Still though, points for trying Princess.” The voice mocked before they ended the call.

Am I on speaker?” The voice asked.

“Yeah, you are,” Rainbow Dash answered, resisting the urge to beg for Sunset’s safety as Onymous spoke.

Wonderful! And I assume our little pony princess is with you as well?

Well, I could say that I’m calling to mock and scorn you, but I’m not. I mean, I’m going to but it’s not the main reason. I’m calling to offer a deal for Sunny’s safety.

It’s simple really. I want her gone, far away from this dimension. Take her to yours, to hell, to heaven, I don’t care. Just take her away.

There is, of course, one condition,” the voice elaborated. “When you take her, I want it to be for good. No visits for the holidays, no letters to the Rainbooms, nothing. She stays in magical pony land with you and Princess Celestia, and I’ll stay here.

You’re a princess, any decree you make, even verbal, will be binding. It’s the price of being an alicorn, you can’t betray any deal you make. In a way, you’re a lot like a demon, a creature that can’t break a contract once it’s formed.

“… How do you know that?” Twilight asked with fear dripping from her voice. That knowledge was kept secret even from her friends, it was something that only the alicorns and Discord knew about.

Oh, Princess. Magic is a wonderful thing, it’s probably the only thing from your world that I’ll ever compliment. Because of you and Sunny, I have a nifty gift that allows me to… Well, I shouldn’t give that away, should I? Just know, the Rainboom’s aren’t the only ones with ‘Secret fantastical powers’,” they revealed.

….
I’d like revenge on that Starswirl prick too, but I’m pretty sure he’s dead by now anyway. That wannabe Merlin tossed god knows how many monsters into this dimension, including this little unicorn. So, I want you to take her, the Sirens, and the magic the Rainbooms have, back to that shit hole you call a kingdom.

….
While I personally have no quarrel with the three sisters, they’re still your problem. The Earth isn’t just some prison for you to dump your magical criminals. It’s my home, my world, it’s ours. So, take your garbage and leave.

Chapter ?: The Last Sunset.

looked at the broken portal with wicked glee.

revealing a girl with yellow skin and a short fiery red hair.

“Goodbye, me.”

Epilogue: Why Me?

Sunset stared at the empty plot of space in front of Canterlot High with a joy filled grin. After three fucking years of being hurt because of her, Sunset had finally won.

Whenever a graduating student or even a regular student, wanted her to be hurt, they would always find thee wrong Sunset. Websites like Fastpeoplesearch would always lead angry victims to the wrong Sunset, attempts to find her social media would always bring them to the wrong Sunset, and they would always end up hurting the wrong Sunsuet. She was sick of being the wrong Sunset, of being the whipping girl whenever someone wanted revenge against her double. And she had finally done it, she was the only Sunset in her world and the other was literal dimensions away.

The only blessing Sunset received from her pain was the unique ability that her connection to the unicorn provided, a power that allowed her to read the memories of anyone she touched. She never knew if her counterpart possessed the same magical ability, but she assumed that it was unlikely since the unicorn had never used it to her advantage. All it would take was a day of touching students, a gentle hand graze here, a handshake there, maybe an occasional fist bump, and she’d be able to find Anon-a-Miss in a day!

She had relied primarily on Twilight’s memories to deduce the identity of Anon-a-Miss, and she was so happy to prove her theories right when she bumped into those little brats later on. She had found the real culprits in under two days after the princess arrived, while the princess herself struggled to find her.

her silent accomplice who nursed the comatose unicorn to health while Sunset had fun with the pony princess.

“You done here, Sunset?” She asked, placing her phone down as she started the car.

“Yup, I’m good now, Twilight.”

one of the largest differences between her Twilight and the prissy princess was the small scar that rested next to her eye, a badge of honor that resulted in getting three students expelled after they jumped her.

needless to say, having photos of yourself at your rival school’s prom wasn’t something that helped her reputation among her classmates. And having MORE photos of herself at their music competition also did little to help her dwindling popularity as Crystal Prep.

their relationship had started off with her paying the bespectacled teen to hack into the Anon-a-Miss account, and soon evolved into something more when the scientist realized what the implications of two Sunsets meant, that the photos at the prom weren’t doctored.

“So, what do you think will happen now?” Twilight asked, to which Sunset shrugged.

“Don’t know. I doubt the pony princess won’t have some tricks up her sleeves. Maybe she’ll banish a monster here, maybe she’ll ‘persuade’ someone from her side to come here. But, whatever it is, I think we can handle it. How’s that necklace thing coming along?”

“Still in early development, but I’ve finally moved on from paper and computers to a physical prototype. Soon, the T.I.R.E.K will be able to suck up any magic that comes here… How’s your head feeling by the way?” She asked with a hint of worry lacing her words.

“It’s fine. I haven’t touched anyone today, so I don’t have any visions.”

sucking up an entire person’s, or a princess’, memories tended to always alter her in some way. Their memories would merge with her, blurring the lines between their personalities until Sunset became an almost completely different person. But, deep down, she was still Sunset Shimmer, even if she was a little different than who she was or could have been.

In their suffering, Sunset found an ally, a friend, and maybe even something more.
