Male Changelings in this universe

So I decided to show what a “starved” male changeling (aka subject of chrysalis), the “average” male changeling, and the male “beauty standard” looks like in this universe.

(Also these are Neighonese/Chenjinese Changelings, I’ve given these three nicknames: Leech, Beetle, and Iris)

So the starved one speaks for itself, as being constantly hungry for love it affects their appearance, looking deformed and thin, as well as their hair falling out. They also have the largest fangs in these three groups.

The average male changeling is well, what male Changelings normally look like. They’re usually seen as rounder around the middle due to not training as they raise the nymphs at home, not doing much but working on fields and taking care of nymphs. Their manes have holes in them (they also grow pretty slowly so taking excellent care of it is a must) as well as their legs, but that’s a given for their species. Their fangs are visible but not very large. The wings represent their status, which I’ll get into with the beauty standard one.

The beauty standard is both a hated and desired one by the average ones due to how demeaning it is to them yet loved by both females and foreigners. The standard is a lustrous and colorful mane without a single hole in it (almost naturally impossible for this species), a thin horn with a sharp tip, tiny fangs, long and slender neck/legs, a slim body, and a paler grey in comparison to the average. The removed wings is seen as a status symbol in their society, as it shows that they don’t work on the fields (rice farmers constantly fly around their field, checking on the rice plants and avoiding the ground when it’s flooded), it’s become a popular but extremely expensive procedure performed only in Fanggook (“almost painless!”). I also imagine that it’s popular as well to rename themselves after flowers/plants instead after having this surgery, seeing bug names as a lower status thing. They were inspired very much by pony looks and applied it to the beauty standard, as well as how Ancient Changelings looked (I might draw that out later)
