An Oregon Christmas Carol · 1:10am Dec 27th, 2020
I'm dreaming of a wet Christmas
Just likes the ones I've always known
Where the pavement glistens
And children listen
To songs that promise Christmas snow
I'm dreaming of a wet Christmas
As all my days pass in a storm
May your days be happy and charmed
And may all your Christmases be warm
truer words have never been spoke. Silverton born and raised. you?

Several decades of Eugene, here.
I always wanted to go somewhere with snow over Christmas, when I was little. The songs and specials did a number on my poor little brain.

agreed. we just have to be in that perfect sweet spot where snow is next to impossible unless you're a mountain peak or mother gaia deciding to take pity on you.
and my mom, for some reason, thought it would be a good idea for us to go the Oregon Gardens... in the middle of the night... while it was pouring..... so we could do that trail of lights thing without paying. she got lucky- there was nobody there to stop us; "who in their right mind would risk a cold, dead night just for some lights?" my mom, that's who. i'm still shivering... and we did this not that long ago. not tonight, though.

That's some dedication to holiday lights right there.
