Give The Gift of A New You · 6:26am Dec 26th, 2020

This year I will be starting my new years resolution today. Why? Because I’ve been thinking about it but if you can't even keep your resolution for even a week then maybe you need to rethink what you want. This can act as a good foil to better focus your goals, and find out where your desires truly lay. Thus allowing you to make more feasible goals on new years.

So you know the why, but what are mine?

Well, I’m glad you totally asked your computer screen that, ya weirdo.

  1. Less drinking. I’ve never been much of a drinker, but I want to make a concerted effort to do it less. Something I’ve been doing for months with ease and want to keep up. More board games, chilling and less late nights is wonderful.
  2. More writing. I’ve done well this year but I haven't made serious headway on my novel or any other projects I truly care about. I’ve done what I can to keep afloat while only doing minimal work on what will help me get ahead. This changes now, and I aim to dedicate one day a month at least to just writing the novel. Even if its only one day thats still 156 pages done, so here's to hoping that will be enough.
  3. Weight loss. I’ve done well on working on strength and I feel fantastic. I can jog for well over an hour without getting winded, and even the harder programs on the cross trainer and bike don't leave me tired. Even still, a layer of fat persists which leads me into my final resolution.
  4. No more sugar. I’m swearing the stuff off for a couple of months at the bare minimum though if I could get rid of it for the year that would be great.

And that's about it. Do more work, spend less time dicking around may not be the most original of resolutions but they are mine. Even if they are more or less the same ones as last year.

Either way, I encourage you all to do the same. Make your resolutions now, live them until the end of the year and ask yourself if they are things you want to keep going. It may not be revolutionary but I think it will help myself at least. :)

Pinkie Pie and I share a similar weakness for sugary goodness. Unfortunately.

I think saying "processed sugars" is better sounding. Natural sugars like in fruit are while still suger are much better for you

Good to see you're making plans. My habits are fudging hard to break, and doing so would break me.

Here's hoping you achieve your goals.

I hope you achieve your goals.

You know what I mean.

Considering the insane diets people do.

Do I seem like the type of person to do something like that? It would be crazy to attempt a true 0 sugar diet.
