“I’m gonna be the first one up on Christmas morning, I’m gonna be the first one up on Christmas Day!” Some things never change but so many other things are off about Christmas this year. I acknowledge that. Some people are celebrating without their loved ones, some are mourning the loss of loved ones, some are spending it in hospital rooms, families can’t join together all as one this year like in Christmases past. Regardless of this, we still manage to find the hope, joy, and faith at the root and center of this holiday and that is an amazing thing. For those that can’t meet with their families in person this year, send a Christmas call or text to aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents. It’s the least we can do to let them know they’re still loved and cared about and for. Merry Christmas to one and all regardless of how it’s spent this year, make it count nonetheless! Right now it’s one of the few lights in our current dreary and depressing closed off world, a light we desperately need. So Merry Christmas!!! 🎄🎁
