Some Headcannons I Have · 9:18pm Dec 22nd, 2020
I dunno, I felt like doing this. I lot of this is just my interpretation on cannon, sometimes because canon hints at it, and sometimes just things I thought would be cool. These will be listed in no particular order, and I’m pretty sure most of them will be Changeling related in some way so....
#1: Changeling can eat all emotions, not just love. I’ve touched upon this in my stories, but I’ll go more into depth with this.
Emotion is a tangible force that can be consumed if you have the right material. Changelings have specialized stomachs that convert the emotion stored into energy for them to survive. This isn’t limited to love or types of love, like the show presents it as such, but rather a whole array of emotions. Love and happiness is just the most filling and most nutritional to a growing Changeling.
Emotions such as rage or depression is actually dangerous for a Changeling to consume. Emotions as such are addictive and destructive, usually making the changeling feel horrible, but always wanting more. Because that sadness and angry and abundant, it’s quite difficult to pass up a free meal. However, consuming those emotion will make the changeling dangerous to their peers, becoming destructive and hurting many if they lose themselves in the state.
#2: Changeling burn their dead. I just see some much fire when it comes from changelings, when they disguise themselves and when they teleport (like what Chrysalis did to Twi).
When they set fire to their dead, it’s like they are disguising themselves for the last time. Their bodies are burnt to ashes, the spirit of the dead changeling freed from their body.
#3: Octavia and Vinyl are sisters.

Octavia is Vinyl’s older sister, and they grew up pretty close. They ended up with different music tastes, but are more than happy to help each if one of them is struggling. Octavia struggles a bit, but Vinyl is there to help spice the music with her dubsteps tastes. Octavia finds it enduring how much her sister wants to help.
#4: Vinyl is deaf. I’ve heard someone mention this in the past and I became attached to the headcannon.
Since Vinyl can’t hear her music, she relies of the vibration that are created to gage if she likes it or not. She doesn’t so much like music as she does the vibration that comes from her speakers.
#5: Owllicious comes back to Twilight after she became ruler of Equestria. I don’t even have a good story behind this, I just want him back
#6: This will probably make people made but; Pharynx hates Tempest.
Now before you pull your pitchforks, let me explain.
Pharynx was always loyal to his hive, even if he didn’t exactly show it. He was loud, rude, and quite frankly, intimidating towards the other changelings, but all he wanted was to make sure his new hive had some sort of defense force to protect themselves. It’s a noble cause, and he had good reason to back it up.
Tempest? Worked for the Storm King, betrayed the Princesses and almost ruined Equestria. And for what? Just to get her horn back?
Pharynx is disgusted by such a pony, and actively avoids her. He knows she is ‘reformed’ and shown the errors of her ways, but there is a big difference between reformed and redemption, and to him? Tempest hasn’t earned either of them.
#7: To end things on a lighter note, Spike sees both Velvet and Night Light as his parents. He sees Twilight as his big sister and Shining as his big brother, and loves his family to bits!
Hope this was a fun blog, it’s kinda fun to put out your thoughts and see what other think. I don’t mind if you put your own headcannons in the comments, I like reading other people’s thoughts and how they perceive the show!

Well, the wiki said “male”, and the episode referred to him as “he”.
... uuuhhh... ok. I honestly don't have an opinion on that. I dont ship characters often unless one of them is a changeling. Like changeling Sorin and Dash... so unless one of them is a changeling I couldn't care less if they were sisters. Actually I think that is quite unique. The most unique thing I've seen about her since that idea where Vinyl is secretly Shining's sister but with a different parent so they buried the scandal.
So Vinyl’s condition + Octavia = Beethoven?...
