So I've got like 4 chapters of a fic done but not posted · 2:05am Dec 21st, 2020
Hey so I got about 4 chapters of a fic done that I haven't posted, but am actively writing more of from time to time. I wasn't planning on publishing it until I end Star Drop (which will be soon), but I'm having problems getting Star Drop's ending just right. Anyone want me to post what I got? Chapter at a time, spaced out and the like.
Story is a darker FoE based fic, it's set pre-war and early post-war period. It's going to be a bit more fantasy based, dealing with things like the relics of ancient civilizations and the fact that those exist in Equestria and wouldn't just poof out of existence after the war. If you read my story "The Queen is Dead" it's going to be like that, but I decided (for whatever reason) to just drop all pretext of "MLP is a kids show so write in a YA friendly manner" and have instead been writing in a style and tone I enjoy more. It's like the Queen is Dead because there will be an object focused quest with the journey being fraught with hardship, and the story will be largely character driven. You can expect robots, changebuggos, and references to obscure nerd stuff. You should also expect some really dark shit (Example: One of the main characters is immune to emotional trauma and constantly upbeat... Because their former owner gave them a lobotomy to try and make them more controllable as a slave. Example 2: The main threat is 2 parts body horror 2 parts psychological horror.)
I don't have a nice cover for this fic, but I can whip something up in 20 min or so that will do just fine and can have it posted within 30 min of getting enough interest. Here's a poll for releasing it or not. Comments saying you're interested or would prefer I hold off for now are worth 5 votes on the poll.
EDIT: Okay, so, not 30 minutes. I got a good idea for the cover and, well... XD
Release would be cool!
Ashen! Ashen! Ashen!
I would like to see your words, Meep.
New fic? Colour me intrigued, I wanna!
It certainly sounds interesting
