Crunchyroll throwing crap at the wall and seeing what sticks. It isn’t like they have a monopoly on all the legal anime coming out in America these days.
Uh wow. . . Okay that's really bad.
Like 1, I'm trying to learn animation, pretty sure if you gave me two years to recreate this I could do better on my laptop using blender.
2, I watched the whole trailer. . . and I have absolutely no idea what this is supposed to be about. . . uh it's sci-fi I guess? There's a girl with powers? She uh, fights a maid? There's this guy in a high tech suit doing. . . something? And a big white robot? Um are there good guys or bad guys? . . . heck is there even an actual plot?
If this was something fan made it might look kinda cool, but the fact that this is being presented as a professional series from CrunchyRoll. . . this does not impress. Man I thought Machinimas Transformers series was the lowest quality animation we were gonna get for a series.
I actually think Machinima's animation looked fine, but just fine, like the bare minimum to expect. This is below that.
This is just bad, it makes the Goblin Army in Overlord look good in comparison.
If this was official, I think the people behind this thought they could use new tech for animating that they were unfamiliar with and thought it'd be good...geez, early RWBY looked better than this.
Already saw it. Yes it's bad.
Also, for those who don't know already, Crunchyroll has been bought by Funimation/Sony. So prepare for more bad dubbing, altered dialogues and censorship and less choice as to where to watch legal anime streaming.

Heh, thanks for qualifying RWBY use to look unimpressive. And even back in Volume 1, all the money was put into the fight scenes specifically!
