This has been one hell of a week. · 3:30am Dec 18th, 2020

Cyberpunk 2077 has been removed from the PlayStation Store, with all customers offered refunds.

Personally, I don't think this is Sony taking a stance on broken games; I think Sony is fucking pissed that CDPR pretty much released a press statement offering full refunds, potentially without first consulting Sony or MS, essentially pointing their angry players towards Sony and Microsoft and going "you deal with it."

I cannot help but wonder if Microsoft is about to follow suit; the base Xbox One is the worst-performing of every platform Cyberpunk 2077 is on.

CD Projekt Red has one fucking hell of an uphill battle ahead of them. Their shareholders cannot be happy; the most anticipated game of the year being pulled from digital distribution one week from Christmas, although it's ironic if they were the ones that kept pressuring management for a 2020 release, and then got fucked by said 2020 release.

So to CDPR, I say this;

Give Hello Games a call, because you guys are going to need a No Man's Sky-level comeback to turn this trainwreck around.

I have been playing games for over 25 years, and I have never seen a fall from grace like this in the span of a week.

Fallout 76?

Fallout 76 was never pulled from distribution.

Should have been better, but you're very right.
CDPR has such a good history, and now they just ruin it like you said.

It's bizarre because from what I can tell the problems are legit bugs that can be fixed and not something fundamental about the game, which the people who aren't turned off by the bugs are having fun with.

NMS was the opposite. It wasn't buggy it was just missing a lot of stuff.

(Then again, I played like 40 hours of NMS before they patched anything and felt like it was boring and repetitive... after 40 hours. So go figure.)

TBH, even though I was never really that interested in the game, the fact that such a vocal sect of the internet has turned on Cyberpunk is leaving an especially bitter taste in my mouth. Just a few months ago, it sounded like the most sacrosanct thing on Earth.

Why does this keep happening to me?

Same, I played copious amounts of NMS 1.0 before I started to wait for patches.

Dam that sucks , I was on the fence about the game , not super hyped but rather like if it’s good I will buy it for my ps5 , I tried to buy it but only could find ps4 version , so looks like I doged a bullet

And Microsoft just said they are offering refunds.

But still allowing folks to purchase digital or even physical copies from their online store.
