The Battle of the Everfree was still raging hard. Sliverfang watches as several Royal Guards marching through the trees. The Celestial-Luna War was starting to turn against them. By now, the Lunar Guards where at the shorter end of the stick. They were out of arrows and the Royal Guards were pushing them back. They had to bite back.

Silverfang leaned against a tree, watching as the other thestrals got behind cover as well. They stayed there for a few minutes.

Then, Silverfang got an idea.

She grabbed her bayonet, motioning for the others to do so as well. When they did so, Silverfang let out a battlecry and they charged. The guards raised their crossbows up, but it was too late. Silver got the first swing, burying her bayonet into a guard’s neck, bringing him down. It wasn’t long until the others got closer and began slashing the guards.

They continued fighting, even when more guards pushed into the forest. They just continued to stab and slash at the guards. And when their bayonets ran dull, they used sticks and stones. And when they broke the sticks and lost the stones, they used their fangs. And when their fangs dulled, they used their hooves.

They weren’t letting this forest fall. Not without a fight, they wouldn’t.
