...ever remember how you can be so psyched for a game then you see the footage?
This be me with Cyberpunk.
I mean, to be fair this happened with the Wi... yeah, I can't be fair here. Like, Project Red should have learned better. Crunch time did some serious damage, the next gen releases should eventually be good but the ones for the current consoles outside the PC? Yeeeeeeeeeeeah.
Not so breathtaking anymore.
Oddly, there's an add for Cyberpunk just below this blogpost.
Oh well. This is part of why I'm planning to wait to get myself a copy. Give them time to iron out kinks, patch some shit, that kinda thing.
Yeah, especially when nowadays people pretty much accepted receiving unfinished games that will eventually gets fix through patches.
The words from Shigeru Miyamoto "A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad.", seems to have been forgotten by the industry.
Though, as you are becoming older, you tend to be less hype by these kind of things and find out your better off waiting.
Personally I had zero hype for Cyberpunk 2077. The game interest me, but I have no haste to play it and I'm sure that a definitive version will show up in a year or two.
Cyberpunk looked to me like a cross between Deus Ex and Shadowrun.
I lost interest because it leans a lot more Deus Ex than Shadowrun (because no magic), which is what I actually want. If I wanna play more Deus Ex then I can just do that.
I was never planning to get Cyberpunk.
That being said, I am hearing some rumors about Microsoft and X-box refusing to let them delay the game any further, (these are only rumors don't take them as fact).
The devs are working very hard to patch the game as quickly as they can, but it won't hurt to give them a few weeks or even a few months to iron out more problems. I'm sure that in a month or two the game will have most of its problems fixed.
idk, I really like Cyberpunk 2077 so far! It's got bugs, but tbh so long as they aren't gamebreaking I find a lot of bugs pretty amusing. It's no perfect game, but CD Projekt Red write stories very well, and the NPCs I've interacted with feel human in a way that a lot of games lack. Plus, you know, mantis blades.

Okay, now that is the definition of irony.

Oh yeah, in a year or two there will be a definitive edition. The Witcher series had the same problems, which is what makes it more annoying as Red you'd think would have learned. The problem is Cyberpunk is clearly not meant for this generation's hardware and is meant for the PS5 and the new Xbox.

Ugh, yes, in this case at least so much yes. I've heard rumors Microsoft and Sony forced the rush job, not sure. It says a lot though when Lego The Skywalker Saga, which barely has changed at all innovation wise in a lot of respects is more thought out than this. It got delayed to March.

Yeah, they're already promising patches. I'm still annoyed that they needed to do them in the first place though! What we have here is a classic No Man's Sky, overhyped and everything that came with it.

Eh, to each their own. I admit, I have the game on rental and I'm still tempted to try it so we'll see how that goes.

Indeed.
