Quick December Update (in case I vanish) · 9:29pm Dec 2nd, 2020
Hey, writing this mostly to try and get some stress out and also just as an advisory. Got a city inspection and landlord thing coming up with less than 24 hours warning, and to be honest this place is sort of falling apart. I'm hoping that it'll be mostly a cursory inspection and we'll be done, but if I go silent for a while it might be because I'm not in a place where I can easily post.
So typical news from me, really. Always great, all the time.
I figure just in case I go quiet for a while I'll also toss out some quick updates on ongoing stories:
1) First, I've got a few more chapters of Agent of SECT ready to publish. They just need a little formatting work. I'll hopefully get those out in pretty short order.
2) I've got two chapters left total in Machina Cor, one of which has a complete first draft done. I don't want to publish that yet in case the finale makes me want to change a few minor plot points. The second half of the finale is slow in coming together - I want to balance worldbuilding, explaining Celestia's actions, and then provide a good (and inevitable) final battle for the future.
3) Terminal Fault's second season is eventually coming. I have pretty extensive notes on it, and solved a few minor problems along the way. It's just going to be a bit because I'm deciding on how much I want to dive into it, and how much is better in a sequel or side stories. I'll probably stop messing about and just go for the direct story without too many diversions, so it might be three-ish chapters.
4) Second Sunrise! I started this story at a bad time and then ran face-first into an issue when I got to my Ibis-focused chapter. My original plan was to do sort of a Dante's Inferno story, but it just started to drag and not feel right, so I completely dropped that and rewrote from scratch. I have a solid plan going forward for that chapter, but NNWM delayed me. Writing 3k words a day wiped me out almost as much as [current events].
SO here's my plan going forward:
The Agent of SECT chapters are done, so I'll get those published as I work on other things. Maybe one a week and I'll try to publish a chapter of something else on another day, so something like two updates a week in December? That sounds pretty good. Assuming I'm not evicted, my water and electricity stay on, etc.
If I vanish entirely, I'm either homeless or just dealing with a lot of social anxiety. I'm rambling again, but that's sort of how I write when I'm nervous. Anyway, I should know in 24 hours how bad things are, so at least it's at the last minute with no warning and no time to fix anything!
