Harry Potter Crossover Planning! (WIP STORY)

I am currently working on doing something I've wanted to do since If Wishes Were Ponies came out, and more so during the time I was helping Gerandakis with her Harry Potter stories.

I am finally working on an idea for a Harry Potter x My Little Pony crossover that I am inspired and motivated to write!

This is to state some things about it ahead of time. I will not post it up til I have at least 4-5 chapters (preferrably 6) written up, as I want to have a buffer cause I also have other writing things I both need or want to work on as well even if its a smidge at a time.

Anyways, here's to answer some likely questions!

Will this be something that crashes and burns like several of your other stories?
No idea! But right now I don't care, I'm inspired and motivated and I want to try this. At minimum, I want to finish this story itself. If I do lose interest but people enjoy it enough and someone wants to continue it, I'll share any outline stuff I have for it.

Does this mean you want to do a series?
If I can keep the inspiration and motivation going, yes that is my hope.

Isn't this just taking advantage of how Harry Potter crossovers seem to spark alot of interest?
Yes and no. I would certainly like it if it being a Harry Potter crossover got it more attention and interest, as that increases chances for feedback which can motivate me to keep writing. Lack of feedback has most often been the thing that killed motivation.

However, I don't care if it gets in the feature box or not and I don't really care if it becomes the next big hit among such stories. That'd be nice, but I'll also be perfectly happy if it just gets more attention than several of my other stories.

So what kind of story is this going to be?
Well, I can easily state here and now it'll involve the Mane Six. I hope to have it involve the Mane Six in a way that hasn't really been done yet, at least to my awareness. Or if it has, does it in different and interesting ways.

I will go ahead and state that it is set just before Harry's first year at Hogwarts.

Any other big things ya wanna say about it?
There are several, but I'd kind of prefer to hold off til I put the story up here.

The biggest thing I can say is that I plan to rate it mature. I do not yet know if I'll actually include any actual mature scenes anywhere, but I do have a desire to make use of some more mature comedy here and there. Or at least its mature related things I find funny/amusing. There might just wind up some implied stuff here and there but nothing going into super intricate detail.

Oh, and related to the buffer desire, I will be endeavoring to attempt an update schedule. NO GUARANTEESS IT WILL STICK
