Mana Marks and whether or not you have them determine whether you're a Sorcerer (Warlock/Witch) or a Non-Blood (Normal Human).

A Mana Mark is a representation of a Sorcerers' powers and bloodline and can be brought out by the Sorcerers' will as a marking on their left or right eye.
There are 9 bloodlines in total, each with their own special abilities. Sorcerers from a specific bloodline excel at their bloodlines' magic but can use spells from other bloodlines depending on skill.

The Sapphire Bloodline (Isabelle) excels in Motion-based spells such as telekinesis, teleportation and speed. Their Mastery Spell, something that only a highly skilled member of their bloodline can do, is Arcane Wings.

Emeralds like Chris and his sisters' Jessica and Christina, excel at Restoration Magic. Spells that require healing wounds, removing curses and curing illnesses are very easy for them to accomplish. Their Mastery Spell is Regeneration.

The Silver Bloodline excel at Illusion Magic, perfect for stealth spells, reality distortion and summoning illusions. Their Mastery spell is Ghost Mode.

People born into the Amethyst Bloodline are great when it comes to Affliction Magic, spells such as enchantments and curses are very easy for them. Their Mastery Spell is Spell Disable.

Obsidians such as Isabelle's father Sebastian, are great with Conjuration Magic. Summoning objects or creating physical constructs are a breeze for them. Their Mastery Spell is Titan Summoning.

Bronze is an overlooked but still powerful bloodline, excelling in Protective Magic such as Shield Creation and Spell Absorption. Their Mastery Spell is Invulnerability.

A person born under the Diamond Bloodline excel at Soul Magic, spells that require mental manipulation, sending someone to the afterlife or soul creation are things that Diamond Sorcerers are able to do. Their Mastery Spell is Sorcerer Control.

Rubies are a very fearsome bloodline to combat against, specializing in Destruction Magic they can use elemental spells, summon earthquakes and overcharge spells with ease. Their Mastery Spell is Weather Manipulation.

And finally, Gold Sorcerers like Isabelle's friend Claire excel at Transformation Magic. Shapeshifting, Transmutation and Dematerialization spells come naturally to them. Their Mastery Spell is Omega Form.
