A-List of the Gods · 1:52pm Nov 19th, 2020

The following is a dramatis personae of my latest story, Brat Out of Tartarus. Some spoilers for the story, at least in terms of who shows up.

Gods

Zagreus

Prince of the Underworld and god of indeterminate nature, possibly teenage rebellion.

Poseidon

God of the seas, earthquakes, and horses. Would be the cool, irresponsible uncle if the other uncle weren't Zeus.

Athena

Goddess of wisdom and strategy. Reluctant team mom of Olympus, especially since Hera refuses to get involved with the whole "help Hades's kid" plan.

Equestrians

Rarity

Bearer of Generosity, fabulosity given flesh, voluntold to act as a one-mare obedience school for...

Cerberus

Implacable, unrelenting guardian of Tartarus... in theory.

Others

The Narrator

(First twenty seconds.)

Grandiose of voice, unbiased in prose, doubtless handsome of countenance.

Skelly

Skelly's just this guy, you know?

?

But who could that be?

???

And what could that be?

Is the last one a titan? Maybe Atlas or Kronos.

Yeah, "responsibility" and "the Olympians" don't really belong in the same sentence. (Hades isn't an Olympian, because he puts as much distance as he possibly can between them and him in every possible sense)

Look, if we’re playing “who’s that Pokémon,” then John de Lancie is going to have to learn how to say nothing but “Discord” repeatedly.

Heh. :)
Thanks for writing!

Those are some cool-ass drawings, especially Athena!

I mean, if we go by legendary rules, he can get away with some combination of kaiju roars, telepathy, and synth pop.

Oh yeah. The art for Hades is as fantastic as the rest of it.

Man I would say Pokémon‘s gotten weird but it’s kind of always been weird

Still not as grandiose as The Ancestor.
