Little Update · 5:06pm Nov 18th, 2020
Hey y'all,
Shitty times last couple of weeks.
Was waiting on a big job application that I had made... one that would have moved me into a C-suite executive role. It was also something that if I didn't get... there was a high likelihood that I would lose my current job. Such is the way of big corporate re-organizations.
Long story short, found out yesterday I didn't get the job... made it to the last cut of two candidates, but lost out to whoever the other person is.
But unlike a lot of other people in the same position, I didn't lose my current job. So I know I shouldn't be too upset during this time when so many people are really struggling and hurting that I have to go through some change that might be uncomfortable and that I might have to experience some disappointment.
Still, a real kick in the teeth.
ANYWAY: real reason I wanted to drop a blog (which I don't usually do) is just to let y'all know that I'm not dead... and that I have still been writing all this time.
If you recall, I put up a poll asking what to work on next... and everyone voted for Mission Failed to be completed, finally. Well, I have been working extensively on the document - I actually decided to re-write the whole story from start to scratch. 21,000 words has become 38,000 as of just checking now...
And for the first time, I am actually breaking new ground on the story... working on new scenes! I anticipate this thing 'landing' around 50K words or so, so it will be one of my bigger fics (if not my biggest)?

Shit, sorry to here that dude, I get that feeling. But it is great that you got to keep your current job, with the world as it is right now that’s not something to take lightly.

I hope you feel better about this events soon. It hurts to get something in reach just to loose it in the last moment. But time will help you out on this after a while!

Sorry you didn’t get the new job but happy you haven’t lost your old one. I’m a loser who doesn’t know how to be an adult. I work with my dad for a company and am a better employee than most that have worked with us since I joined up but I have no idea how to get a job. I only got it because my dad was my in. I more than capable of doing a good job but I wouldn’t know how to get there in the first place and thinking that one day I might have to scarred me.

personally i'm looking to get a promotion higher up, both figuratively and litterally. but it's not looking super good. but fingers crossed.
Sorry about the job, but at least it could have been worse. Excited for the completion of this story, and to see what you've changed in what already existed.
That sucks, but at least you aren't worse off than where you started with this. All you gotta do is download some NSFW poner pics onto whoever-this-other-guy-is' computer, and casually mention to your bosses that you think he's into some weird stuff. Promotion!

I'm helping Cloppy edit the new story and can tell you from authority the newer versions of the older chapters look a hell of a lot better. I even helped write an expanded Roseluck scene in chapter two. I feel confident people will love the new and improved Mission Failed.
