Inky Hearts is dead · 6:18pm Nov 15th, 2020
I'm making this post to announce that I am no longer part of the MLP fandom. It's out of my own choice regarding recent events. Don't freak out though, THIS DOESN'T MEAN I'VE COMPLETELY ABANDONED PONY. I simple don't wish to reside in the fandom anymore. I love the show, and always will, and I will continue to produce content. You don't have to be in a fandom to love the stories that the authors provide, and that's how it's going to go from here on. So, does this mean I'm done with making MLP based content?
No. Absolutely not.
However, I'm taking time away from pony content for awhile. I'm finally writing an idea I've had in my head for years and plan to turn into an audiobook when I finish it. I have made an ACX account where I will be trying out narration for independent authors, as much as publishing my works on there. This has been a step I've been planning to take long before the recent set of events, because I've felt stuck in a box for a long time, unable to expand my horizons. I've shrugged aside all self doubt and am taking a step needed to reach my goal.
Pony content will still happen. How often? I have no idea. I just know that I'm never going to make it anywhere under YouTube's belt, so I'm taking matters into my own hands and going an extra mile, into something I hope to turn into a career. I'm terrified, but that's exactly how I felt when I tried narration for fun, and look at where it got me. I know people love my readings, but the endless 20+ hours that go into it are just not adding up with a payment of $20-30.
This isn't over money if you think that, but YouTube is my job, and it's something you have to keep in mind. That's not even near enough for the work and effort that goes into each and every reading I provide to all of you, not to mention YouTube is a spastic bitch that decides to change its mind every fucking update, so between the updates that KILL my view counts, sub rates, and monetization, it's just not working and won't last. It's just not liable or worth it.
My content will always remain public, so don't worry about me nuking the channel, because I'm not throwing YEARS of work down the toilet. Today or anytime soon is not when I'm resigning as a content creator on YouTube, but the truth is, is that that day will eventually come. When? I have no idea. One thing is assured though, I'm finished with the MLP fandom. I will always love the stories that are made, but the fandom is just not a place I will be residing in anymore.
Inky Hearts is no more. I'm just me now; Sparrow. That's all I will be from now on.
Thank you for all of your continued support. I love every single one of you.

You will be more missed than you know.

Update on how I should've worded it. I'm no longer part of the MLP narrator pocket of the fandom. I still love many things about pony; the art, music, and many projects. I will still read stories from this site, but ngl, the stories are very dead and cliche right now, and I think we all know why.
When G5 comes around, I'll still be here. I'm just done with the "narrators" pocket and will be going solo.

Cool enough. Thanks or clarifying.
I've always loved your maturity and straightforwardness in situations such as this. Tbh that's a really good idea. I might be doing the same thing soon. Of course, I'm not really that much in it anyway.
