Why does EVERY band seem to include this in their brand name and/or logo? A genuine curiosity case · 2:12am Nov 15th, 2020
Why does EVERY rock band use roses as part of their logo and branding?? I'm not only talking about well-known rock bands, but two bands I know
from college use roses in their logos or album art.
One is called Until Tomorrow who had their debut EP single, Dearly Beloved, come out and the album art was of a glass bottle with a red rose inside it. The next band went through a name change and are called Follow Deep. I chat to the drummer now and again and he's pretty cool but I always get curious over what it is about using roses within their brand names. Their bassist's leather jacket has their band name on the back of it and their band name has a rose in place of the 'O' in 'Follow'.
In my own time of coming up with band logos and the like, some of mine also included a rose. Roses are cool and all and they are my favourite flower, but when I see them used frequently it puts me off using it myself for originality reasons. There ALWAYS has to be this odd theme of love within a band's name or their message. It doesn't bother me, but it does get me massively curious.
I can't be the only one to notice this amongst bands, popular or not.
Please, don't mention Guns and Roses as using it either. I purposely didn't mention them because I want nothing to do with that junk. They're crap. (Yes, it's Axl's obnoxiously squealing voice, so now you don't need to ask.)

Band logos, man...not an easy task to come up with one that's original, is it?
