Delicious! Delicious! got a reading by Scribbler. It's amazing! She always does such good work. This was a story I wrote for a contest but was called into work on my day off (Apple Ipad thieves from New York showed up in the district) and was unable to finish on time. I think it was better than Anxiety which did get submitted and failed miserably in the contest.
There's a lot of guesses at the inspiration for this story and most of them are wrong. Cupcakes, Last of Us, Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill. Someone even mentioned Spongebob... I have no idea how they would relate. In actuality, I got the idea from a level in an old PC game that I don't even know the name of. Basically, the characters are in a mine that has a rapidly growing fungus and they have to find survivors while also dealing with vegetable animated corpses. I thought that was a neat idea and wanted to show some body horror of Twilight slowly losing her self to an alien presence taking over her mind and body.
It was named after a single moment from the Japanese zombie movie,' Zombie Hunter Rika' when a zombie begins eating the brains of a victim and yells in a high pitched voice "Delicious! Delicious!" I say that phrase at least once a day.
Also a little bit of 'The Stuff'. A movie about a killer dessert.
I want to thank Scribbler and her team that worked on the reading. They do fine work and I giggled like a school girl in my office tonight while I listened to it.

Just listened to it. Mind blowing performance. For most of it I couldn't tell the difference between Scribbler and the show VA. They totally put the listener right in the infected Ponyville streets.

I agree. It was good. I loved the distortion effects on the voice in Twi's head.
