Unpopular opinion: I don't like Twinkies · 9:24am Nov 9th, 2020
The last time I ate a Twinkie was a couple of years ago (I don't know exactly when 🤷). Both the sponge cake and the cream are unbearably sweet for my taste buds. I'd rather enjoy other Hostess products such as their powdered Donettes and triple chocolate brownies.
For those who can't handle snacks that are too sweet, I don't recommend them. For those who can tolerate that certain level of sweetness, by all means, give them a try.

Here's what it looks like.

Then I'll take a guess and say you probably wouldn't like Weird Al Yankovich's Twinkie Weiner sandwich.

You guessed it right. I'll go for a regular hotdog sandwich.
Agreed. I find a lot of American food to have far too much sugar for my taste (British people use relatively little sugar in sweet food, focusing instead on fillings).
They also often drown food in salt. I have no idea why...

Probably because more salt enhances the flavour and without it, food would taste bland. People from many years ago used a lot of salt to preserve their food. Nonetheless, anything too sweet and too salty is worthy of getting diabetes and kidney stones, respectively.

True, although with fridges we don't need that much salt anymore.

I don't know about drowned in salt, but I remember one mistake I'm most certainly not gonna make again. One time at a Naturals game (my states home baseball team) with my dad I ordered one of those big soft pretzels with salt......never again. get it without salt.

What do you think of the hostess cupcakes? You know with the spirals
5395103
Never eaten those before. I read that they taste like chemicals.
5395104
Hmm, never heard that before.

It may have been where I was; I was in Sacramento at the time.

Ah probably. Each state had it's own thing with cooking. I'm from Arkansas so most the time you'll see fried food
5395109
Hmm, I'll take that with a grain of salt.
The more we grow, the more our taste buds change and become more taste acquaintances.....
I used to not like mashed potatoes.

I must go there someday.

Holy shit, what a coincidence. I live there too!
