Let's promise one thing · 2:39pm Nov 5th, 2020
No matter the outcome of the election, one thing I would like to ask is that we could all live in harmony regardless of differences of our opinions and viewpoints because that's what Friendship Is Magic is all about.
Hatred and chaos exists due to political unrest. Not only does this apply to USA, but also the world. What we need right now is love, open-mindedness, humility, and empathy. Please don't let there be another world war. We don't want history to repeat itself.
Thank you for attending my TED talk.
Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye!
Amen to that!
The unrest and disagreements exists because of they only look at things their way and they refuse to look at things differently. Because of this we don't live in a real reality, we live inside our own fantasies and use them to define what we view as "real". Think how the world would be if we could look at ourselves through heaven's eyes instead.
We can only promise to try.
Like Indigo Lightning Strike said people look at one side.

We have one person who sees one thing and another a different way, and it keeps going down the line.
People today just want validation, they don't want compromise and refuse to talk things out. They'd rather have a us vs. them mentality due to one disagreement.
A few examples are when that black kid got shot for pointing a toy gun at a cop.
Yeah, the gun was a toy but there's no way the cop would know that, but people don't want to see that.
Another example is the cops that got called to the parking lot for a potential drug sale, the guy that ran one shouldn't have run, that's why they chased after him. Now whether he shot first or not I don't know, but he shouldn't have run to begin with.
A hypothetical situation: let's say I own a private bakery, no ties to government help, just a small ma and pa like place. A same sex couple asks me to make a wedding cake but I politely refuse and give them a name of a place that will, but I offer to make things for other occasions like a baby shower for them or a party they're throwing.
The majority would see me as the bad guy because I refused, they wouldn't care if I offered other services.
Yes, everyone has rights, but it's a two way street for most.
Doctors should never be allowed to refuse a patient. But if a life is not in danger, then it's a two way street.
I know that sounds like a double standard, and I'm sorry but that's how I see it.
Everyone has rights, but everyone also has the right to refuse if they don't want to do something.
But the true enemy is not the political differences, not religious differences or lack thereof.
The true enemy is the media, you see what they want you to see, they manipulate you to think how they want you to think.
Be told you're wrong a thousand times, you'll eventually think you are.
With that being said, I hope I didn't offend anyone that's just how I view it.
The only way to get along is to drop the if you ain't for me, you're against me mentality
