    OC Art!

Okay so not really Stallion of Tomorrow related (I'm still writing, I promise!), but I got some surprise fanart from artist rosexknight of another one of my OCs, a pirate freelance treasure hunter named Treasure Trove.

    Notice

[UPDATE: I can confirm firsthand that TheMysteryMuffin is alive and has been active on Discord for most of the day at this point. I have also been informed courtesy of Estee that she has apparently been in contact with a prevention hotline. As it stands now, it seems like she is currently doing better.]

    1950s Sci-Fi Review Bundle (Part 1/?)

So recently because I'm a totally normal person with a totally refined sense of taste when it comes to fiction, I got on a binge of going through some of those good old 1950s (and some from the 60s) sci-fi movies, rewatching ones I hadn't seen in ages and getting around to watching ones I'd never seen before, either at all or only parts of, and I thought for the heck of it I'd share some little

Brief Thoughts On: "Man and Superman" · 2:31pm Oct 29th, 2020

You know, I think I have a thing for origin stories, or ones that show people early in their careers. I like seeing characters making themselves known for the first time and laying the groundwork for who and what they are.

Anyway, I picked this one up on my latest Barnes and Noble run. The Deluxe Edition, actually. Came with the original comic pitch, the final draft script, and the pre-inking sketches. Really nice.

I like this one. It's a somewhat more low-key take on Superman's first few weeks in Metropolis. I think what I like most about it is that it's more of a Clark Kent story than it is a Superman one. He doesn't even don the costume until the very end, and we only get fleeting glimpses of him in it. The majority of it is about Clark finding his footing and overcoming his own self-doubts. Which I like quite a bit. I like stories that put emphasis on the man in Superman.

I give it a 7/10. It doesn't really reinvent the wheel, but it's a pretty solid story.
