Having a Existential Crisis at 4 in the Morning after a Long and Depressing Day;

The Side Character is a Deer was the height of my Fimfiction writing. I am probably never going to release a fic that will reach the same heights as it.

Side Character was probably the best I am ever going to do on Fimfiction, and I completely fucked it up.

I am probably going to be stuck on a gradual decline from here on out as I slowly lose all of my followers and begin rapidly becoming unable to write a fic that even passes 500 views at the least. Holy Shit this is awful.

but you know ere you messed up others don't. tack what you have learned and make a story (I like the dwarven ones …. but they don't get updated :[ ) if it goes good or bad attest you would have tried and at the end of the day you made the story but the story dose not make you. oh and as I say you do you

So, a rewrite is out of the question? I'm not trying to push you in any one direction, mind, it's that the story obviously meant a lot to you. There's no shame in fixing something you believe could use it if it'll make you more content.

Ah, as long as that makes you happy. Whatever else, don't give up writing because of one setback, as long as you draw enjoyment from it.

By the way, are you familiar with Under Northern Lights? If the Elfdeer of IDW displease you, perhaps you may find that interpretation more to your liking. And even if not, it's a great story, sadly abandoned before its conclusion. Check it out if you have the time!
