Interview Rp Style
Nailah as Snow Heart and Frost Heart
FOME as Thought Bubble

Snow Heart

Snow Heart had decided to take a trip away from the Palace life, and visit some of the places she always wanted to go. Strangely, she wasn't really fond of crowds or attention, so her idea of a good vacation was just going somewhere quiet, so when her younger sister "convinced" her to go to Manehattan, she had sighed heavily, but reculantly agreed. After all, Frost was her little sister, she couldn't say no to her. She was getting ready to board the train, when she noticed something strange. At first she thought she was seeing thing. She looked twice to be sure. She trotted over to whoever it was, they just stood out amongest the crowd of passengers, getting ready to board the train to the big city, full of lights, other ponies...she started to pant, as she felt the sweat dripping from her face. Calm down, no pony will know you're a Princess as long as you keep calm.
"Um...hello there, who are you?"

Thought Bubble

The orange unicorn looked around as if to see if there were anypony else the mare might be talking to. He pointed a hoof at himself. "Me? Uh, Thought Bubble. Are you alright, miss?"

Snow Heart

"Yeah, I think so. I just thought I saw something. Must've been just my imagination." replied Snow Heart shaking her head, the clear thing that stood out about the unicorn, was her tufted bar ears. She could hear Frost calling.

"Sister, are you coming or not? I'll leave without you otherwise." she pouted.

"Oh dear." She looked to the pony in front of her. She should at least introduce herself. It was polite. "I'm Snow Heart, tell me how did you get into mlp?" suddenly she realized rather quickly she and Frost would be seperated, but there was something about this pony. She didn't know what. That stood out to her.

Thought Bubble

"Don't worry, this is my train too. Visiting my sister." Thought led Snow Heart into one of the cars, trying to find seats somewhere reasonably near her sister. "As for your question... Have you ever heard that one out of context line from the stand-up routine, 'If it weren't for my horse, I wouldn't have spent that year in college'? For me, it was the exact opposite.

"I met the people who'd get me into MLP after going off my meds and bombing my first college semester. I'm still friends with them now, actually. But back then they showed me a few things, some video of Fluttershy afflicted with poison joke, some gag videos... This was back in early 2011, mind you, the beginning of things. I could and did binge the whole series on YouTube. The rest, as they say, is history."

Snow Heart

"Oh, um...I guess we both have sisters. Mine can be...difficult but I love her." Snow Heart stated as she followed him onto the train. She sat down on the opposite side from him, Frost Heart decided to play games and sit beside him.

FROST! I just met this pony. Please don't try anything..." she sighed heavily. She was certain she would. This was Frost after all.

Frost Heart

Frost Heart wrapped a wing around the unicorn. Leaning into him, whispering. "Isn't she just precious? She didn't even tell you her proper name. She's a Princess. My sister a Princess, and she hides it." Frost chuckled before letting go of the unicorn.

Snow Heart

Snow Heart flushed darkly.
"I never asked for these wings!" she protested. Realizing this wasn't going any kind of right. "Um...that's very interesting and a lot more than just saying it was Rainbow Dash. Sorry about Frost. Who is your favorite pony?" she asked trying to shift the focus away from her. Please don't stare, please don't stare.

Thought Bubble

Thought raised an eyebrow, looking from sister to sister before settling on Frost. "A Princess, you say?" He made sure to put Proper Emphasis on the Important Capital Letter. "My word. Well, if there's anything Princess Twilight has taught us, it's that the best way to deal with alicorns is to treat them like ponies and not just things crowns happen to have under them."

He smiled at Snow Heart. "Don't worry. In Manehattan—assuming you're going all the way to Manehattan—nopony cares about you being an alicorn. They pride themselves on it." Thought hummed to himself. "And the culture, food, local sports... They pride themselves on a lot of things, really. But I digress.

"Derpy Hooves is Best Pony. And I couldn't tell you why even if you ordered me to on whatever royal authority you may or may not have. I've liked her since the first time I laid eyes on her, which was actually part of my friends introducing me to pony as a whole. I admit, I put a lot of myself into her when writing her, but I also tend to cause problems with a combination of good intentions and excessive haste."

Snow Heart

Frost Heart

"Yep, a Princess. With all the perks. She's a bit shy about her wings though. She's lucky she has such an amazing sister to help her learn how to fly. Though it was hilarious to watch her crash multiple times." grinned Frost Heart, sticking out her tongue at Snow Heart.

"Yep, we're going to Manehattan, because some pony wanted to go there. She likes to be the center of attention. She embraces it when they look at her. But I'm not my sister. I don't like it when they stare at my wings." spoke Snow honestly, showing him the very tips of her wings, hidden underneath her hoodie.

Derpy, you say? She's adorable. And quite the fan favorite I've found, but well I know you didn't ask, but I like Rainbow Dash. I wanna be just like her."

"You aren't ever going to be Rainbow Dash." spoke Frost.

Snow whimpered, pouting. "But why can't I be?"

"Because if you were Rainbow Dash, then you wouldn't be my sister, and that's not acceptable."

"Oh." she looked back to the pony realizing she was getting distracted by her sister, the next thing she knew, she'd be trying to hook her up with a stallion she just met! Why did Frost insist she found a boyfriend? Ugh.

"What do you like to do for fun?"

Thought Bubble

Thought was blissfully unaware of the romantic machinations at work. "You could be Rainbow Dash if Frost doesn't mind being Scootaloo," he half-muttered, eyes unfocused on anything in reality. "Of course, Scootaloo is busy being Scootaloo, so there may be a conflict of interest."

He shook his head. "Sorry. Lost in thought." He nodded towards his cutie mark, a pencil inside a cartoon thought bubble that was drawing the bubble's outline. "Call it an occupational hazard. And the basis of a lot of what I do for fun. Namely, thinking too much. I like to approach serious things in a silly way and vice versa, then write about the ideas that result. Also a lot of reading, some video games, and a certain collectible card game."

Snow Heart

"Don't worry about it, I get distracted a lot too." replied Snow Heart, she really hoped her sister wasn't sending the wrong message. The last thing she needed was more problems. She felt like she had the weight of the world on her shoulders. She looked to him, and considered her next question. This one it was never easy, because often she didn't know the answer herself*
"What inspires you to write?"

Thought Bubble

"Yes." A few moments of taking in the blank looks on both mares' faces, Thought gave a sheepish grin. "I suppose I should elaborate.

"I'm always looking for inspiration, and I usually find it. Art, fiction, real life, trivia, random thoughts that come to mind..." He opened one flap of his travel saddlebags and held up a small notebook in his magic. "There's a reason I try to keep one of these on my person at all times . You never know when or how inspiration will strike, and when it does, it's best to write down the idea while it's fresh. I've told myself I'd remember it later. I've usually been wrong."

Snow Heart

Frost Heart

"Yeah, keeping a notebook handy is a good idea, I agree." replied Snow Heart, even if she often forgot to bring hers along, but this time she was prepared. She had her notebook, her romance novels by Nora Roberts, and plenty of pens, you could never have too many pens. She learnt that the hard way.
"Sometimes I have too many ideas I simply can't write them all. Recently, the rain gave me this idea, that just wouldn't go away, and despite how busy I am with...Princess stuff, I had to write it down. Now here I am starring at yet another project that may or may not get finished."

"Princess..." spoke Frost Heart teasingly. "You do know I could help right? You could totally let me be in charge for a day, or two, or like for a week. Remember the one time we...."

"STOP. No. Frost you know better!" scolded Snow Heart, dragging a hoof down her face, groaning. "Ugh. Please, Thought do continue. What advice might you give new writers just entering the frey for the first time?"

Thought Bubble

"First off, there's no shame in not making a story out of every idea that crosses your mind. Goodness knows I have plenty I've yet to follow up on, and I'm sure my responsibilities pale in comparison to yours. Beyond that..." Thought tapped his chin with a hooftip for a few moments. "Start small and work your way up. It's tempting to start with some grand, sweeping epic, but you've got to walk before you can gallop. Before you write the next great Equestrian novel, you need to get the fundamentals down: characterization, pacing, evocative description, emotional resonance, all the good stuff.

"Also, editors are absolutely your friends. A second set of eyes will catch all the bits in your head that never actually made it onto the page."

Snow Heart

"Hmm I see...that's really solid advice. Editors are great, but often it's hard to find good ones that stick around for any length of time. I recently met a really great editor from my time with Speedwriting, and Holtinater has been a blessing. Even if he hasn't edited for me yet, he's helped out a lot of fellow authors, you should go stalk him. He's a great guy. But any who..." Snow Heart paused.

Frost Heart looked over to Snow Heart. "You're doing it again."

"Doing what again?"

"Being afraid to ask the stallion about the man behind the pony. If you're so SCARED. I'll bite the bullet. Hey, Thought. What would you like to say about the writer behind you?" smirked Frost Heart, literally, nibbling at the tip of his ear playfully.

Thought Bubble

Sea green magic held Frost's jaws open, letting Thought tug his ear out and tilt his whole head away from her. "Personal space, please and thank you. As for FoME, there's not much distinction between the two of us. And he's a private enough individual that you probably wouldn't get much out of him anyway. Also, you really should be careful about that sort of question. Some ponies at least like to pretend there's a fourth wall."

Naturally, the ticket taker had chosen that specific moment to go past their seats, and left with the haunted air of one who had heard That Which Pony Was Not Meant to Know.

Snow Heart

Frost Heart

"Sorry about her. She...is difficult to say the least. Frost, go get some snacks or just please don't scare my new friend away." spoke Snow Heart, letting out a huff.

"Fine. Have it your way. You're no fun. Hey, Thought, if you get "bored" of Snow Heart here, come see me later." she winked.

Snow Heart groaned, facehoofing. "What am I going to do with her? She never listens..." she looked at Thought again, and feeling her whole body shiver as she handed over her ticker to the ticket master. Snow Heart had to make up ground here somehow.
"Is there anything you'd like to ask me?"

Thought Bubble

A number of questions came to mind, each more insensitive than the last given Snow's sensitivity about her wings. Thus came the flash of insight: Why not ask something based on Thought's insecurity? "I suppose the big one is why me? I understand that I represent someone with a decent amount of notoriety in the community, but still, why pick me out of the crowd?"

Snow Heart

"Hmm...that's a good question. I don't suppose I think your cool is the response you want. So I'll dive deeper into it." began Snow, as she puffed out her chest underneath her hoodie, as she spoke with pride in her voice. "I chose you out of the crowd because I'm a fan of your works. I admit I often get nervous when approaching ponies like you, thinking why in the world would they wanna talk to me. I'm just a pony, nothing special. And since you have way more of a fan base, will my interviewing you even help you in any way? Or will it just make me seem like I am picky about who I interview. In all honestly, I interview ponies I think are cool, ponies I think deserve attention, and also it is a way to get all these followers of mine to stop starring at me, waiting for me to actually do something worthy of being noticed. I am a Princess, but often I don't feel like one. And that's why."

Thought Bubble

Thought nodded. "I see. I'm flattered, really. I've never really internalized the whole 'relative fame' thing, and I'm honestly afraid to. Don't want to get so lost in my own hype that I start swaggering around, you know?" He put up his nose and adopted the haughtiest Canterlot accent he could manage. "Do you know who I am? I am a mildly respected author on a niche fan fiction website. I cater to an audience of hundreds, do you hear me? Hundreds!"

He chuckled as he shook his head. "Yeah, no. Even if I were actually famous, I wouldn't want to lose perspective like that." With a smirk, he added, "That being said, trying to distract your audience doesn't work if you tell them you're trying to distract them."

Snow Heart

She flushed darkly, realizing he saw right through her. "Um...I don't like lights. I'm a bat pony after all. The night and I we are one. I suppose I should stop hiding and just embrace it, just like I've done with everything else. I often wonder why I inspire others. I'm just a silly bat mare obessed with headpats, that is a huge romantic at heart, and I'm honestly flattered at the end of the day to any pony that follows me for my silly works. I put a lot of thought and time into them. Oh but I'm rambling." she went to take off her hoodie, as she let her bat wings splay out, and stretched.
"There's a lot I have to learn, but I've learnt a lot from being a part of this wonderful place, and I couldn't be happier, even if I have to deal with a fiesty, and flirty younger sister, and she thinks I need to settle down. Pfft."

Snow Heart paused as she moved to stand as she heard the train come to a halt. It seems they had arrived. She looked to him one last time.
"Come visit me sometime. If you're not too busy. I could tell you some stories, maybe even how I got these wings. Is there anything else you'd like to say?"

Thought Bubble

"Thank you for having me." Thought frowned in his namesake. "Assuming that's the right phrase to use for a conversation in a train car. You're welcome to visit me as well; goodness knows I have a number of tales to offer. Like the one where a whole world of balding apes has to deal with Equestrian magic, not just one ragtag bunch of teenagers with attitude. And your sister clearly means well. Speaking as a younger sibling myself, she definitely wants what's best for you. She just may not know what it is.

"Also, you're going to want to brace yourself when we get off the train. Grand Central Stable is..." Thought nodded out the window to the teeming mass of equinity outside. "Well, 'rather crowded' is putting it lightly."
