The second part of the SAPR Rewrite is now complete, with the Mistral Vacation arc having been rewritten.
With several weeks having passed since the battle at the docks, Ruby joins Sunset, Jaune and Pyrrha on vacation to the historic city of Mistral, where the group makes a mixed impression on Pyrrha's mother, the formidable Lady Nikos.
Dark shadows are lengthening over Mistral and Vale: the grimm are gathering, but not attacking. They are massing on the edges and outskirts of settlements, intimidating people and sometimes killing outlying farmers, but not descending in all their wrath upon the towns themselves. This strange behaviour has stretched the resources of Mistral to the limit, and that in turn is causing a crisis in public confidence of the Steward and the government. In the midst of showsing her teammates the delights of her home, Pyrrha is approached by Lady Terri-Belle Thrax, daughter of the Steward, who offers to make Pyrrha a huntress and her second in the Imperial Guard if she will led her strong arm to their efforts and the prestige of her name to their cause.
Pyrrha doesn't want to accept this offer, but feels obliged to take it; Sunset, pointing out that what Terri-Belle really wants is a doll named Pyrrha Nikos, and that she can become even greater than she is now if she stays on their team, starts talking her out of it.
In Vale, Ozpin sends out the huntsmen to defend the outlying settlements, weakening the city's defences in the process. In Atlas, General Ironwood prepares for war.
Back in Mistral, the team attends a fancy party, where Sunset makes a new friend in Professor Lionheart's prize pupil Cinder Fall, and Ruby makes one in spoiled socialite Juturna Rutulus. Jaune sees Pyrrha standing alone, and comes very close to expressing his feelings towards her. The day after the party, Jaune lets Ruby down gently, but before he can confess to Pyrrha he is decieved by Lady Nikos into thinking that she is engaged to another man.
A grimm appears near Mistral, and Team SAPR hunts it down with the assistance of Cinder Fall and under the watchful eye of Lady Nikos. The grimm retreat everywhere across Anima, and before Pyrrha can turn down Terri-Belle's offer it is withdrawn.
Pyrrha learns about her mother's deception and is enraged, or as enraged as Pyrrha ever gets. She confronts her mother, kisses Jaune, and leaves the house. The gang stays at Haven for the night - thanks to Cinder - before flying back to Vale.
Back at Beacon, Ruby and Yang are visited by Raven, who warns them against Professor Ozpin and his machinations. Sunset reveals her magic to her friends, but is likewise distrustful of Ozpin.
Rainbow Dash and Twilight are visited by their friends, who make the acquaintance of Blake and surprise her by the strength of the bond that exists between six such disparate people.
