Friendship is Card Games: Kenbucky Roller Derby #2 & #3

We return to the cutthroat world of G5 roller derby, where Sunny’s trying her darndest to prove she’s more than just a casual skater… and has assembled one of the most ragtag teams of misfits this side of the Mighty Ducks in the process. Let’s see how the story’s developed from there.

No, not mine. The Barcast's. The last call is currently under way, and if you want to hear my part in the grand interview lightning round, you can tune in at 4:20 Eastern/1:20 Pacific (about an hour from this posting.)

Yes, 4:20 on 4/20. No, I do not partake. Sorry to disappoint. :derpytongue2:

    Pest List

Just something I whipped together for fun one day, set to a possibly recognizable tune, all intended in good fun. And hey, given that I derived my Fimfic handle from a misremembered detail of the Mikado, it's only appropriate. :derpytongue2:

Friendship is Card Games: d20 Pony, Ch. 9, Pt. 1

Goodness, it’s been almost two years since I last checked in on Trailblazer’s adventures. IDW putting out comics almost as quickly as I could review them will do that, especially given all of the G5 video media coming out concurrently.

    Conflicted Crossroads

I have an interesting dilemma with an upcoming story, and thus I turn to the Fimfic public (or that portion of it that sees these blogs) for its wisdom.

Bit of a catch-all blog, this one.

Firstly, I've contacted the other Most Delightful Ponidox judges and invited them to my contest-judging Discord. We'll figure out how to approach the entries there.

Secondly, I have no plans to fill out that questionnaire that's making the rounds. Way more personal information involved than I'm willing to share.

Lastly, a team developed a room-temperature superconductor last week. The catch is that the current model requires pressure comparable to that at the center of the Earth to remain stable.

Why bring up that last one? Aside from the incredible impact more refined superconductors could have on electrical infrastructure, magnetic everything, and quantum computing, the materials involved are rather interesting: A carbon-sulphur blend injected with hydrogen gas.

After all, we could have told those researchers that the best way to get an almost magical crystal in the human world is CHS. :derpytongue2:

Boooooooooo

Haha!

Do allow me to make one query and consider if you were willing to answer it.

Are you some form of physicist or scientist? You seem very wise in the ways of science, very rather clever and keen as well. So I'm curious.

Do permit me such an answer, should you so desire.

What’s the status on the Change of Pace entry?

Nice, my dude.

Also I just noticed you swapped your avatar from the adorable and silly Derpy to a refined and regal Derpy.

This is change.

Room temperature superconductors are incredibly useful. If we can mass produce those, without the need for megapascals (or is it gigapascals?) of pressure, all the issues with things like fusion containment will just vanish. Then it’s free power time.

As far as the chemical compositions for that CHS...

I hope they don’t... Oversaturate the mixture.

Oh, neat.
Ah, hah! Thanks. :D

Hey, I can't be bothered to read and research every little thing, okay?! It's much easier to just fly off the handle and scream and screech until I get my way!

Nah, if you want a magical crystal it'll be made of hydrogen, argon, molybdenum, nitrogen, and yttrium. HArMoNY

Badum tss. And yeah, I'm not doing that questionnaire, either.

He is Arthur, King of the Britains.

oh? Verily then, Hail, King Arthur!

Catchall blogs aren't bad

Good luck on the judging, there are some good entries it seems.

The first one definitely squicked me out, i went with a tamer version and made sure to be safe in my answers.

And room-temp super conducters are super rad indeed.

Just picture designing a tokamak where the central solenoid superconductors are mashed in diamond anvil cells.

It would be glorious.

The CHS acronym did occur to me when I read an article on it. You're the one who actually got around to posting it, though.

Best of luck in the judging!

I do have a degree in physics, yes.

Stalled. Not for lack of ideas but because Hades is a terribly engrossing game. :twilightsheepish:

As long as no one sticks one in the LHC with a Sunset plush, we should be fine.

Just the phrase "diamond anvil cell" is amazing. Actually getting a plasma donut up and running at an energy profit will be truly incredible.

:pinkiegasp: Hey, that's my line!
